People talk about how the midrange is dead but it’s literally always available. People run shooters off the line and wait at the rim the middy is always there.
Been working a lot so not much chance to hoop, but when I do play I feel smarter and can read the game at a higher level every time. All I’m missing is consistent practice
I’ve been practicing almost nonstop, my season is over rn so I miss it and I have been watching a LOT of your videos to get better, I’ve gotten way better on defense and I’m tryna be able to finish after contact and drive or shoot.
Every other NBA player can explode driving to the basket and stop on a dime, but not everyone can keep the shooting form after the bump and make those middies consistently.
That move is a lot of stress on the knee of the leg that extends for the stop. If you want to incorporate this move you must work on your quads to support your knee and work on deceleration drills.

Love the videos. I saw a few years ago you did breakdown of former nba players like Jwill, KG, Arenas and McGrady so I was wondering if that will ever return because if so I have some suggestions like Jason Kidd, Tim Duncan, Ray Allen, Vince Carter, and Shaquille O'Neal but Awesome video.
feels like he taller longer iverson but slower. gamestyle is very similliar too. i bet he watched and mastered ai moves. specially that low dribble, pullbacks, fadeaways to the side with hang
As I was watching SGA play, I was saying, this guy is like a combination of Chris Paul and Sam Cassell. Then I realized that he was a CP3 teammate, then I checked and Sam is one of his coaches. Props to the young man for being a sponge in the presence of guys who got it done for decades in the NBA. ua-cam.com/video/6PLWvSqkDAU/v-deo.htmlsi=ULukND4ptTn_g9Lh
Great video! It is easier to come away with the push off when you established as a star and the league decides to give you a boost..I bet that if you are Chris Chiozza or Ryan Arcidiacono, you are not getting away with it..
I got my team to wacth this cause we dang needed it thanks also my mid range game is not very good and it should be because defenders will try to run me off the line because im a 3 point threat so i tried using a nudge on my defenders during pickup and i found it way easier to score in that area. Thanks
He's crafty for sure, but i think he gets away with too much on both ends. His on-ball defense is physical in comparison to what the refs allow on him. Not to take away from his game, just very offputting personally.
They are not anything alike except for the fact that they both are midrange monsters, and even in that aspect they get there midrange shots in different ways …..the other parts of their game aren’t even remotely similar.
its not gonna be called on FIBA, and on fiba 3x3 its even worse, you not gonna get called sometimes with elbow lol. so idk which league u talking about
Right, it's a part of todays game and makes offensive players unstoppable! James Harden was killing the league until they changed the rules to stop his offensive shenanigans!

Shai’s midrange shots are so smooth and even his fouls look good
Look how open SGAs teammates are when he has the ball . No wonder a young team of rookies and sophomores are shooting over 50% .
Yup he draws so much attention driving
lol the thunder are a problem. i hope you keep the same energy when we’re running the playoffs 3 years from now
@@hhxh5769I don’t think this comment was a diss.
@@user-hz4sd1zi9l acting like we aren’t talented enough to manage without shai smh our team is one of the deepest in the league
so explain why without CHET they missed the play-offs???
Same team...SGA got the same numbers...
His footwork, physicality, ball control is underrated
Definitely finna work on all this just to get more midrange shots up

Talk to me! How’s everyone been doing on and off the court??

SAG is the MVP leader at this point of the season by so many metrics on what he does on and off the court .

Finally, more SGA exposure.
very good & informative video - keep it up buddy
Love your content 😊
Helped a lot to improve my game, we have the same type of play style. That bump and nudge is the only thing that I lack that's why I'm ineffective
The midrange game is a beautiful part of basketball.
Hey would like a Shai workout video!!

What’s a way to train this skill?
Go play 1v1 and keep trying it, even if you suck at it at first!
4:44 do you think you could practice one of these shots and footwork?

The Kyrie arm !
You know Kyrie has the best off arm, right or left !
I really wonder if that move is gonna work in the playoffs. Its sketchy on how refs call it but that's modern nba for you.
It 100% will
@@ByAnyMeansBasketballI agree. If anything, in the playoffs they allow more physicality so this move becomes more valuable.
in the Playoffs, when the 3s don't falling and they clogged the paint, midrange is the best spot to operate with.
Names of songs used?
I am on a holiday with no equipment no basketball courts or anything I’ve tried to find gyms
Anyone you can tell me to do
As long as you have a ball you can just practice the move anywhere, even without the ball at home :D
We out here.
Aaay
amazing!
Kawhi hairstyle paired with MJ moves.
Kwahi Leonard next pls pls
Jlew attention to detail pls 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Shai has more push offs than Jordan😂 _ Great attention to detail video man
i love this video so fucking much
Got here after KG says Shai is deadly on mid-range..
Yeah u can give shoulder to elbow but elbow down is a foul

Yea shai is excellent, another that kinda has this ability is Bradley Beal
he shoots way more in the paint than he does from midrange.
needs to work on it still especially his 3
He’s fine
SGA has tree trunks for legs
Love to see a vid for shai gorgeous alexander
Dayum
The midy aight ded
I've said it before..he's so damn close to Jordan in his game

Bro SGA is my favourite player but these are blatant offensive fouls lmaooo
Aye man, either take it and learn these sneaky things or complain about it 🤷♂️
@@ByAnyMeansBasketball I’m not complaining I be doing the same shit 😭
nope. if this is offensive fouls, then shaq cant play.

I fucken hate this move. That shit is a foul.
Kinda soft to say this is a foul… it’s basketball
