Thanks so much Bernice. I remember. You also comment. It was hard on this one to keep it together with the cold but I guess I pulled it off. I like to make it relaxing and hope you can feel like the our visiting. Cheers.
My husband and I camped out on New Year's Eve 1984, in snow and ice after a 1 hour canoe trip across the reservoir in the dark. We didn't have a ground cloth for the tent that we set up on gravel. I still remember shivering so much that my teeth and body hurt for days after. In the morning (just before dawn) we cooked bacon & eggs in a cast iron skillet over the fire then broke camp and canoed back to our car. It was wonderful and horrible at the same time. I can only imagine what it would be like to do it with comfort gear. Great show!
Thanks so much. To bad your trip was bad but good. The more to do it you learn how to make it a great trip every time. It's a skill that takes time and practice.
Hi Josh: Quite the set up. Very impressive! The main peice of gear that makes it all work is the sled to carry everything. Ah wilderness. stay safe & thanks Brian 81
Hey John. I had the sled a while just thought maybe to use it will all the kit on this one. Worked out great. Hope your having fun with the plow on the ATV. I was having a blast yesterday. lol
And he's back! Great to see your video again. Cold weather, but was excellent condition for overnighter! Amazing trip, Joshua. Would love to get that stove myself... Best regards!
When you said -18 degrees I had to watch the entire video... That weather is ridiculously bone chill man! Kudos to you man not many like to experience the adventure but for some of us we're in a peaceful place.. From your new friend good camping trip video 🙂👍👍
In situations like this when it is cold cold - utilise the sled as it looks long enough. Use it as my bed with good thick inners & cut opposing corners so that when in use -lay the cut end on the ground & put a good pillow on top.- it would certainly keep most of the cold & dampness away. Often wonder if people would actually make use of a sled. As always a beautiful day in the woods Joshua
I'm curious as to what lights you were using? I could not find them listed below your video or if you mentioned them in the video i missed that. And how did the 1000W Jackery power station do for powering those lights? Thanks.

It works even in Siberia :) and third one - birch firewood generates more warm then any other. I saw birches in your previous videos but you never use it as a firewood. Does it depends on stove temperature limits? Anyway thanks for nice video and good luck!

If you put down a ground cover you’ll be way warmer. You’re pulling all the frost out of the ground!

Could you do a hot tent with a bigger tent where the stove is then a smaller one that you sleep in? That seems like itd keep you warmer?
There's no wrong way to try hot tent camping. I like the smaller tents for solo camping.
