  • Brazilian Soccer Schools (BSS) created by Simon Clifford. Simon was a teacher before he raised funds to travel to Brazil to see what makes the Brazilians brilliant at football. Simon made his first trip in 1997 and spoke to Brazilian greats such as Zico and Rivelino on how they were coached and how they coach now. He came back to England with some weighted size two footballs and a new method of coaching. Though his first session had an attendance of only four children, Simon has made the BSS an international success. Simon also owns and runs Socatots which teaches children between the ages of six months and five years old basic football skills. Using the game of futebol de salao children use a weighted size two ball which enhances their technical ability. Proven to deliver results this has lead to Brazilian Soccer Schools becoming international and is now known as the International Confederation of Futebol de Salao (ICFDS). Futebol de Salao gave Brazilian players such as Pele, Socrates, Cafu and Juninho the technical ability which lead them to become some of the best players of their time. One of the best known english players to come out of the BSS is England and Man City centre back Micah Richards. Another is the world champion football free-styler John Farnworth who started his career at the BSS and now entertains thousands of people with his technical ability. In 2003 Simon Clifford bought the unknown Garforth Town AFC and plans to get them into the Premiership in the year 2025. In 2004 Simon put the media spotlight onto Garforth Town AFC by signing Brazilian legend Socrates.

    I was going to laugh at how dated this is because he said CD-ROM but this is actually a really good skills video with very useful information. True skill is forever!

    Wish most kids here in US would put there heart in learning these skills. I have coached for different citys as well as schools. My daughter plays on a boys High School team counting her 2 girls and 1 boy can do some of these moves the rest only use there toes and are seasonal player.

    I am Brazilian and I find it funny to see someone trying to rationalize football, creating a technical manual.

    • @saltyninja
      @saltyninja 9 років тому +2

      Even Brazilians have to learn their moves. Whether you learn it in a school or on the street you still have to learn it. There's a technical element no matter what.

    • @dannieldf
      @dannieldf 9 років тому

      But the technique is essentially subjective

      +saltyninja but dribbling is more about intelligence and adapting to how your oppoents are defending you. This is the essential part of dribbling and it is only developed by hours and hours of experience, definitely cannot be taught in an online manual.

      @@MrWill1729 it's not tryitrying to teach when to use the move only showing you how

      Yes.
      I'm brazilian too and it's true. We played at the streets when we was kids but some skills you do vetter when you look and pratice.
      The diference is in how to use it when you're on game.

    The last move is to see how far your skills has become not that its useless
    juggling is a way to see how good your ball control is and if you can de tawt or hawt then your skills are improved with your ball control
    Like zidane

    aqui no Brasil temos um ditado de que jogar não se aprende se nasce com o dom somos os mais habilidosos porque praticamos muito além de que a maioria já nasce sabendo por isso somos o país do futebol :D.
    Here in Brazil we have a saying that if you learn to play not born with the gift are the most skilled because we practice far beyond what most already born knowing why we are the country of football

      concordo , algo que percebo nos videos sobre o futbol brasileiro nas gringas. Eles tentam teorizar o nosso estilo quando é algo nato , não se aprender apenas se aperfeiçoa ... se fosse fácil assim todos os países do mundo teriam uma teça de copa do mundo vendo os vídeos sobre o futbol brasileiro ....

    ahusduashuasha mano do ceu
    caras nao é assim o nosso fut, pra mim o jogo é algo sagrado é o nosso primeiro jeito de brincar como crianças fazendo amigos jogando futebol, na hora de um final de partida ninguem se importa em dividir a agua q estava bebendo com o cara do outro time é algo bem natural, e mais a gente ama o fut pq eles no uni depois de uma partida pra dizer ''mano como se fez aquela parada lá?'' e assim aprendemos tbm
    na real msm isso n deveria ser ensinado como uma escola mas sim aprendido por puro gosto e se maravilhar em querer entender mais do do q se pode fazer em campo(ignorando as regras se quiser) mas sim por quem tem o dom de dominar uma partida esse cara sim é um jogador q merece jogar com os melhores ao seu nivel
    nem sei se a gringada vai entender mas é isso q vejo no fut, se quiserem tentar dar uma traduzida

    i dont see it being useful for somebody
    in theory are goods movements, but for it be useful the player needs to have movement in his all body and the dribble must come naturaly in the game.
    or the other team must have defensors like in this video that seem to be blind.
    but the idea of the video is nice
    congrat

    Nice skills! But I don't think this is the way to learn. Learning like this I don't think u can be able to trick your opponent, unless he let u...don't forget that always have a defender trying to not let u do your tricks!
    My advice is, practice ball control a lot, and make a dribble trying to fool your opponent, improvising. Thats how Ronaldo and company does it....when he is in front of a defender, he doesn't know what he is going to do yet, but have a LOT of ball control to improvise.
