"You were Anakin's greatest success, and Lord Vader's greatest mistake. I will succeed where he failed. Let us begin, Ahsoka Tano." ~Grand Admiral Thrawn~ (Probably)
I love Thrawn he is 100% up there in my top 5 favorite Star wars characters. And this edit does all the justice and glory for him. Long Live the Empire and Long Live Grand Admiral Thrawn!
@@JoshBeck-z5m I think also for Thrawn he sees himself as almost preserving his enemies' culture in a way if they are completely destroyed. He views it from a scientific/practical lense, not a show of power. Anakin thinks about how, when he looked into Thrawn's mind, his thoughts were ordered like an array of "unfamiliar numbers", the way a mathematician would think. So Thrawn is a very pragmatic thinker. There's nothing he does that isn't without reason.
@@SolidAvenger1290 I think it was more that they had to find a reason to explain why Thrawn wasn't around in the OT. We all know the Battle of Endor would have gone much different if Thrawn was there.. In the EU lore, Thrawn had simply been relegated to Wild Space due to the xenophobia in the Empire. In the new canon, he was exiled and had to find a way back.
@@mish375, you forgot to mention Hannibal Barca, who almost broke Rome and, even after his death, was highly regarded by many for centuries as a tactical genius. Only Carthage's political gridlock was the one thing that defeated him. The Romans feared a repeat of his military success, and later, Spartacus's revolt clearly was a brief reminder that anyone who understood Rome's military tactics alongside utilizing the terrain would see a much better success of victory against the Roman Republic/Empire.
the ahsoka show is pretty bad tbh. its not near kenobi, book of boba or sequels bad, but it is worse than mando season 3.... sadly thrawn is writen how morons think smart people are like.... he could fall down the stairs and shit himself and he would still turn around and say "all apart of my plans" then slowly walk away with his hands behind his back. thats kind of how they wrote him in ahsoka. the issue with having thrawn in your story is that writers cannot write a character more intelligent than they are, its the difference between the thrawn trilogy books (he original one) and ahsoka/rebels

Very cool. It's too bad the actor didn't have the same thin face as like Thrawn did in Rebels, but it would have felt just wrong to hear anyone else speak as Thrawn.
Actually i feel the star wars makers should give some more time as ruling by the empire. They would have bought order to the galaxy. The rebellion is just aimed at personal gains at this point. Sabine making our existence in the galaxy vulnerable because she wanted to meet her boyfriend is the worst crime than ever committed by the empire.

No, Thrawn is written how a leader in exile for 11 years with a drastic decrease in resources with limited capabilities against THREE force users. What do you expect him to do? Nag to them to death when he’s trying to escape… he has no fleet, no council, no emperor or empire to fund his plans. He has himself, four witches and troopers willing to lay out their life- but remember… against three lightsaber-wielding Jedi… one being the apprentice of The Chosen One. Another, being Ezra who summoned whales from no one knows where, and Sabine a force-sensitive Mandalorian who witnessed her entire family die. He is not gonna overuse the few resources he has left to kill hostiles he intends on leaving behind, he’s gonna send few to distract and buy time, and that is only those who volunteer. Negl tho, that “All part of my plan” joke was funny
