As example, all the ladies in the Trinity had more core in the lower chest (C4-G4) quite consistently while Sohyang voice could get lost in that area. Not to mention that the trinity has way more agile voices than Sohyang and also a way better sense of pitch and musicality

Sohyang is such a legend! One of the best vocals in Korea! Her performance of Everyone is amazing. It’s one of the hardest songs she’s done vocally and skill wise I believe.
To answer your question, Arirang is obviously a folk song, but Sohyang is much more of a modern gospel singer than anything(as I'm sure you figured out once she started belting her ass off). If you want to hear a fun comparison between the two styles, Song Sohee, who I believe you've reacted to before has also done Arirang Alone and the contrast between their singing styles is really interesting.
This is the first song I've heard from her... as i was practicing for our ARIRANG choir presentation for Korean visitors in our University ...that time I don't know she's the one who sung the "WIND SONG" one of my fave korean OST... she's one of my fave korean solo singers...

Don’t be lulled in to thinking that Sohyang is a traditional Korean singer because she isn’t. She is a gospel singer at heart but can literally sing any genre, which hopefully you are now going to discover four yourself, but it just happened to be that the theme of that show that week was ‘traditional’. If you are in any doubt just have a look at her tackling song usually associated with Whitney. I don’t think at this moment you have any idea that you have taken your 1st steps in to the world of Sohyang, IMO, along with so many others, the best female vocalist currently on the planet. A big statement I know but if you appreciate amazing vocals she will not disappoint you, because she never disappoints, she only has one level of performance & that is ‘amazing’. Pansori, traditional Korean singing, makes me cry like a baby. I drive with a ytmusic kpop station, and Oneus has slapped me in the face a couple of times with Luna and Intro : 창 (窓 : Window), which both feature pansori, while I was driving and I had to pull over.
