Leslie I just love you. You are so real and down to earth. What I love about your channel is u don’t brag you do things we all can afford, love how ur husband helps you. Your so loving 🥰 ur the best thank u for being so sweet..
Loved all of this! I do not have a green thumb either, so keeping real plants alive is just intimidating. Hats off to you for trying! This is just my POV, but as a reader, I despise the backward book trend. Your book choices are as interesting to me as your family photos. Thanks for great content!
I appreciate the way you genuinely show us how to do things and it’s heartfelt - not as some who seem to care more about how they look on camera. You’re truly showing us real things that we can do and offer great tips. I can feel your down-to-earth spirit, if you will, and it’s refreshing. Thank you for including us in your life!
Talk about upscale, that is you sweetie. I just love watching your videos. You are so good for uplifting my mood and getting me in the mood to make my home better. Thanks
I'm so blessed by founding your utube channel, I so look forward to seeing you and updates on your husband. I'm watching every one of them as they pop up. I love your kindness and so true. Looking forward to seeing your decor.
I always love your ideas, and this one is a great reminder. I personally think the biggest tip is to have a clean and clutter free home. Some of the simple and inexpensive touches are huge, such as the soap dispensers, etc. I love your quilted top, so cute!
Regarding bathroom hand towels; I prefer to use disposable hand towels when I have company and multiple people are using the washroom. It is kind of yucky to dry your hands on a wet towel that someone just used. Love your videos!
I purchase disposable hand towels. Amazon has many to choose from in keeping with the theme. I just can not use a damp, already used hand towel. The thought grosses me out.
Great tips!!! My mom always made and still does in our family home, clean and fresh. So I do the same in my home now (my family are clean freaks lol). One tip she gave us was keep your outside looking presentable and beautiful, because that's the first impression to anyone. Love your plants! They don't look fake. Excited to see your living room . It looks beautiful now. You're amazing, real and sweet lady!
Love your puppy. You are so right about the cleanliness factor. You can walk into a lovely home then you notice a dusty film on everything, nope. Appreciate ya'll hun, God bless
Hi Leslie, I love your channel and style. I’ve been decorating with live plants for years and placement, according to species, is important. Many plants will thrive with direct sunlight and others will not. There are many reliable online sources to refer to for specific watering , feeding and light source placement. Also, if you have pets in your home, select wisely as many plants are toxic for pets that may chew the leaves. When I have company, I place several decorative facecloths, in a basket, on my bathroom counter for guests to use. After use, they place them in a small laundry basket. I like your idea of decorating with books. If you don’t want the book title to be displayed, my idea is to cover the book with decorative wrapping paper (solid or print) or leftover wallpaper. I agree that a pleasant fragrance in your home is inviting . I will brew a pot of water with cinnamon and nutmeg to add ambiance instead of burning a candle; of course, a batch of homemade cookies will also be welcomed.
Hi Leslie, I stumbled onto your channel last night. I couldn't sleep thinking about a spare room I have where I store all my art canvasas and art supplies. It takes up the whole room. You were talking about mind set and making a difference organizing your basement in one day. It cleared my mind and it lifted the albatross around my neck and emotional attachment. So Thank you. Hours later I am still watching you. I just think you're great.
I got some free outdated wallpaper books, I just asked for them and cut out the pages. I used the cream colored ones for book covers. The texture was awesome and each one was unique!
Your top is adorable on you! I loved all your ideas on upscaling our homes! If you have a scent in your home, you should stick to one scent through out your home rather than each room having a different scent.
Clean house. Good (fragrant) smell. Throw pillows on sofa. Fresh fruits on cake stand in kitchen. Nice hand towels in kitchen. Nice clean drinking glasses. Quality hand soap dispenser. Books as decor. Real plants all through out home
Great video! I also buy guest paper towels & put in a basket in my bathroom when I know I’m having guests! Can get at home goods/ TJ MAX etc/. Have all kinds of seasonal ones too!!!!
Really great tips! I'm with you on the clear Solo cups...unless it's a themed party and you need a matching color. You always look so pretty and love the top🥰💞
Your house does not need to be upscaled. It looks all wonderfull clean and very put together. You did a great job.I did like the video tho. Have nice weekend.
Your advice and your personality are so cute! What you said wasn't new to me but it was so refreshingly positive that I watched the whole video and subscribed. I'm looking forward to seeing more videos. Blessings.
I love watching your videos. I think I told you before that I work at Kirkland's, so I always love when I see Kirkland items in your home! In this video I saw a shelf (in the bathroom mirror) and a lamp and one other thing that I can't remember because I'm old!!
I actually found the birch candles in all 3 sizes just like yours so much cheaper! I bought them and absolutely love them! Thank you for showing me the beauty of the birch wrapped candles! Mine are from Hobby Lobby!!!!
All of your suggestions were right on! I believe in the front door test. Once they stand there and wait for you to come to open the door, they have checked it all out. My thing with the towels is on of my weakness's . I always save back a nice one to put out when people come over. You are so good at this. keep up the good work. I enjoy watching you. Joyce
I use disposable rectangular holiday napkins. I even use spring, 4th of July or any occasion napkins. I buy them at TJ Maxx or Marshall’s. I place them on the counter for guest to use, instead of a cloth towel.
You make great points. One thing I alway think when approaching the front of homes is people forget to clean outside or just inside their front door area. Those areas get so dirty if left unkept. This past spring we had so much pollen that I was wiping my front and garage doors daily. They are fibreglass and metal that look like wood, so the were yellow everyday. Also if you have dirty windows it makes your house look run down. Cleaning makes all the difference. As for smells, you are so right. Some people cook very smelly foods and when you can smell it as you approach the front door…whew!!! Diffusers are good for getting rid of those smells and don’t just mask them. Great tips Leslie. Always enjoy your channel.
Good tips...thank you! l like your living room very much...you have a beautiful home. l think alot of us are a bit guilty of not getting the most out of our furniture etc. but it is hard when things start to look tired and we see the next styles and trends. About plants, it's all about the light that they need (and not overwatering them) l would find it difficult to spend money decorating if l went from full-time to part-time hours at work. l am so interested in following how you and your husband are doing. Sending my prayers to you both. --Steph Acland
I love your ideas. We don’t get much company ( my dog is antisocial 😕) so I’m afraid I don’t put much into sprucing up. But I have tried several of your ideas and it makes me feel much better about my home . Love you 😍
Great video! I buy cute paper hand towels and put in a little silver tray for the bathroom that guests use so they have the option to not use the real towel.
Hi Leslie & Jason , Great video ! love all your tips . I used to be manager at “ Francesca’s “ retail store . And we used books as props to decorate . As you mentioned it brought decorating to the next level . And I love the way you “ dip” your throw pillows in the middle 🌻🌻🌻
BTW fill your tea stained cup with very hot water/ fill the rest with vinegar... let sit for 30 minutes then wash with dish washing liquid .... sparkly clean

I love real plants in a home. My house doesn't have enough light for them. I've tried several different ones and they die. I always love your ideas, and this one is a great reminder. I personally think the biggest tip is to have a clean and clutter free home. Some of the simple and inexpensive touches are huge, such as the soap dispensers, etc. I love your quilted top, so cute!
Thank you so much 😊
I agree . The simple touches she talks about have I inspired me to make some small changes with big big impact !
Regarding bathroom hand towels; I prefer to use disposable hand towels when I have company and multiple people are using the washroom. It is kind of yucky to dry your hands on a wet towel that someone just used. Love your videos!
I use individual hand towels folded in a basket + another basket to put the used ones in. Fresh one every time for guests.
I purchase disposable hand towels. Amazon has many to choose from in keeping with the theme. I just can not use a damp, already used hand towel. The thought grosses me out.
If they wash there hands germs and dirt. B. Gone!
Yes I prefer disposable but if thinking of a stack of ✋ towels
Some people actually use paper towels, hung on a small decorative rod...

In the south, red solo cups are a staple lol. I agree with you 100% on this. I have attended weddings and yes, red solo cups were there too!
Your absolutely correct makes such a difference. Love your planters of ferns.

Great ideas!
I love the shirt you wore in the video. No red or and color solo cups clear!! I love the ideas thank you so much for sharing with us. ❤❤❤
Thank you 😊
Your plant, Krista looked real to me!

Dorene…just went on Amazon and found bunches of foaming soap dispensers for you!
I don't like the red solo cup either. Love the clear also. I'm new to your channel and I'm enjoying watching. You are such a pleasure to watch.

So many people are allergic to these scents. 😬
I'll use my bathroom to wash mt hands during a party or when company is over and change out the hand towel. I also refold to the other side. Easy!
I admire you a lot, I would like to have the courage you have. Blessings.
Thank you 😊

Great tips. I'm trying to put more live plants in my whole home. Always had them in my kitchen or living room. I don't like fake plants. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it! ☺️
I'm going to transfer my bath and body hand soap to a new dispenser. And I always use clear plastic cups for bigger gatherings too!
I got lots of good ideas. Thanks
