What honeycomb is doing with the price to quality ratio is unheard of today.. It seems like all a company wants today is money.
    Hats off to them!

Off topic but always remember in aircraft with controllable pitch prop levers. When reducing power, throttle then RPM. When increasing power, RPM then Throttle.
Other than that great video. Trying to buy one of these soon when they come back on the market. I have the yoke now I’m waiting on the throttle.

I love the Alpha and Bravo too!! Couple of little things I did: For GA fixed wheel, I mapped the Parking Brake to the Gear Up/Down handle, just feels right. Also, I colored the ridges on the AP pilot knobs white, really helps to quickly see the current setting while busy flying.

The yoke will be here tomorrow. My throttle quadrant is on back order until July 2021. Man, I'm so excited to get these. I'm replacing 20+ year old CH Products flight yoke and throttle quadrant. They had a good run. Bought the honeycomb products from Sporty's.

I’ve been buying flight sim gear for about 40 years now and the Alpha and Bravo are the best value I’ve ever seen. It takes some tweaking to get everything working but that’s only because it is early days for the new sim and Honeycomb have some work to do on the software side. That said they are excellent controls. As you said, it could have been sold at twice the price and would still be a great value. Excellent review, thanks!

It appears that we have the same yoke and TPR pedals 👍. Stopped by to check your review on the throttle quadrant as I'm looking to snag one. Based on my yoke, I assumed the throttle would be of similar quality. Your review comfirmed my assumption. Thanks for an excellent review!

Honeycomb have legitimately made a simpit, within reach of the average guy. I’ll wait for the pedals reviews, then pick them all up, I’m assuming they’ll be just as good.

Looking for this throttle now and the Thrustmaster pendulum pedals....pricey but worth it.

I have the Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant now for 4 months. As a XP-11 flyer, I enjoy the ability to work the throttle. BUT only 2 months in using the unit, I started to get problems with the thrust reverse switches. I first were thinking it was my poor ability to interact with the XP11 software. But later I realized the problem was not with the software of the switches in the levers, but the fact that the wires running inside to the controller card were breaking. I realized this when I opened the controller and visually inspected the wires. 4 of the routed wire were all broken. My observation was that the wire they were using is too hard, and during bending would suffer fatigue damage. Realizing this, it was not really possible to solve the problem by doing an exchange of the bravo unit, as this problem is a Design fault, and I would just be getting the same failure in the future. Therefore, I replaced all the routed wires with a thinner more flexible gauge wire and adding additional support at the tight corner bends. After my repair to date I had no more problems with the functionality. I do not know if other users have the same problem? Let me know.

Mr. Overkill! Thanks for your heartfilled review. As you all may know, there are other alternatives out there, some way cheaper and most more expensive. My choices were the two more expensive alternatives but the Honeycomb offers me a $2000 savings at the least.....dont want to mention the name of the other companies as I do not know the legal implications. I am trying to regain my lost flight skills and as such have decided to use the home pc flight simulator route before actual flight retraining begins. You all know how expensive flight training can be even though when I learned to fly it was $22/hr wet for C152 dual. Nowadays about $180/hr. Ty once again to Mr Overkill and please advise me as to whether you can assert that the home pc training will help before I do engage the actual flight training, in terms of cost of course. TY.

Still waiting on mine arriving from Amazon UK. Ordered on the 15th July at a cost of £240 and still no sign of it showing up. The comment regarding the pricing on eBay is valid, but what do you expect when there is so much pent-up demand for the product and it is virtually impossible to get outside of the US. HA have massively underestimated the demand and their logistics have fallen way short of what is needed to get this product into the hands of consumers. They need to learn from this quickly and not make the same mistakes with the Charlie pedals. Because consumers will not make the same mistake with pre-orders. I'll personally be sticking with my TPRs.

I am playing MSFS 2020 and just started on DCS. I need a Throttle quadrant that can be used for both sims. I have been researching and the I like the Bravo, but I already have the Logitech Multi-Panel which I use for the AP (so that part of the Bravo would not be needed). I also really like the Virpil T-50 CM3 (or maybe the Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle). Between the Bravo and the Virpil which do you believe would be the best choice for both MSFS 2020 & DCS? One other thing I have the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke (for) GA aircraft & the VKB Gladiator MK.II Stick (for) Military Aircraft. So all I need is the Throttle Quadrant and not the complete HOTAS System.

I notice you have the yoke and throttle exactly even from left to right. do you find that the yoke is a bit too close to you? in other words, if you move the yoke a bit more toward the monitor it would leave the two products uneven in alignment and I'm wondering if it would look weird that way. I would like it if I could line them up so that when I put some logitech panels on top of them it would look better and lined up and even...But is the yoke harder to deal with when it's farther in our chest? Any help with mounting ideas would be super (there is only one way to mount the bravo of course since it hangs off the edge of the front of desk so there inlies the issue).

Thanks for the review. I wouldn't say the Saitek/Logitech yoke/throttle are junk by comparison. Simply an old design that hasn't been updated. They were around $150 before covid/mfs20 came around. The additional throttles were around $40 at the same time. For that money I'd say it's not bad at all. The honeycomb is absolutely a step above but it's also much newer and $500 for the pair. So that's to be expected.

I just got the Bravo had the Alpha for a few months now. The bugs IMHO should never happen on something like this, it's not a Cheap Walmart or Amazon made product, they should iron out these issues before shipping them to the public, QC is what gives a company a good name. Why people expect issues today is baffling? All any company that makes a product for the public needs to do is test the item the issues were not that bad and fairly easy for them to resolve now the customer might not understand the bug and get frustrated sending it back then having that disappointment in the back of their mind possibly never buying from them again. Maybe I'm just old school when I worked for companies that made custom devices made sure it was 150% ready before selling any of them.

@@naveeniyengar The default for the switches on the Bravo are the same as the ones on the Alpha. Look at RMAG's tutorials. One of the first things he talks about is remapping the switches on the Bravo to do something else otherwise they conflict. There are no drivers from Honeycomb, BTW, there is a bridge through SimConnect, created by Aerosoft, that enables the LEDs for the Auto Pilot (another bug addressed by RMAG is getting the IAS light to come on!). But technically, no drivers are required - it works with MSFS out of the box (or should I says boxes). Just be sure to remap those switches to something else - I use Cabin light, Flood light, Panel lights, Pedestal lights, Pitot heat, Prop de-ice and Parking break. And of course, they can be different for each profile you create.

Once I connected the yoke, I am unable to get the keys to work in msfs even to change assignments for the keys. Searching by controller input in msfs, there is no response to switch toggles anymore. Fixed other bugs after watch @Overkill and RMAG video links. I am not sure whether it was because I setup the throttle quadrant first before setting up the yoke. I'll probably try to clean up all the profiles and retry again.

I was on line & found a honeycomb alpha yoke for $249. (Than I saw others of the same for I think $ 350.-700!!!) I was like WELl, for $700 you better give me 2 yokes the throttle quad & 2 rudder pedals!!!! So look out for the (SCAMMERS)

I paid 500 for the bravo throttle by itself. Which is 375 USD

Excellent video, but why are you talking so fast?

Well, the Alpha surely can not be the best GA yoke...it lacks hall effect senor, let alone FFB...if more money could be added, the fulcrum sim yoke FULCRUM ONE is a better choice. But at its price range, the Alpha is unbeatable yoke now...

My only gripe with this setup is that the yoke only comes with one mag/starter switch.. i mostly train with 2 engine props, a second switch would have been on par with the bravo. i see no point in having 4, but certainly 2

The levers are too damn small. Like throttles for peanuts

I wish to ask this CEO why he's so greedy? why they just didn't do the firmware update for the current yoke to make it work with xbox? why they need to release an additional "updated" yoke for PC & XBOX? this is BS an seems like another idea to grab more money. Just a simple firware update will make it work with consoles because they same as PC's but whatever.

You can't get to the switches easily as the throttle levers are in the way. Similar situation with the trim wheel and gear lever. Way too close together. A shit design all round.
