Really enjoyed this video Dave. What an awesome experience and looking forward to more. I am very tempted to book a trip from shetland Isles to barberry for a master class / meet and greet... keep up the great work..
Glad to see you made it back to TX! Been a fan of your bbq platters in the NTXBBQ group on FB. Barely made the connnection now. But it all makes sense. Love the content and keep smoking up killer Q!
Fiesta Tortillas in Austin supplies pretty much all the Tex Mex restaurants in central Texas. You can buy 2.5 lb bag of chips and corn/flour tortillas of all sizes which are made fresh daily. They have a storefront at their factory so anyone can walk in and buy product
We do love our HEB here in Texas! Also, its so wild to see someone gushing over a bacon and egg taco but I have to admit, I love making and having them every morning! I do Chorizo and Egg as well and always with a home made green or red salsa.
To be honest it's the flour tortillas, slightly steamed in foil that I love so much. But yes - a Texas made breakfast taco is one of my favourite things in the world!
The face you made drinking Malort was the same face I made when I drank it for the first time at Windy City Smokeout with everyone laughing and apologizing while I willingly drank it 🤣
If you're gonna goto Texas, that's the time to go.getting a chance to have a crawfish boil is definitely worth the experience. Getting to Louisiana would be better but there are enough Cajuns in Texas to do it justice.
There are a few of us Texans that can cook crawfish as good or even better than most lowzyannans!!! It doesn’t take a genius....I even make my own seasoning which is superior to store bought!
The guy who made malort smoked cigars all day everyday and wrecked his palate. After that couldn't taste anything. So he made malort. That is the Chicago legend at least
My first night and day in Austin was pretty chill. Full cook videos and BBQ road trip videos to come!
Imagine having friends like that overseas

Looks like a fun day, and really made me miss Austin. I have to say though, slowly steaming the crawfish alive like that is NOT OK 😠
Agreed. I didn’t particularly enjoy that.
Booze and food puts me to sleep instantly I don’t know how you guys do it all day!
The guy who made malort smoked cigars all day everyday and wrecked his palate. After that couldn't taste anything. So he made malort.
