Thank you for this great video. I have trouble with jollof because of the water ratios. Your recipe doesn’t say how much water to add when mixing in the rice. Is it possible for you to measure and respond?
Mercy M sorry about that. Usually it depends on how many cups of rice you’re using. And also because of the stew you do not need a lot of water. So the ratio should be based on the stew to the rice and then just add a little water to rise above the rice. Also some rice differ from others so you have to pay close attention to the rice to check the softness. Some rice will need more water as it boils.
Your jollof rice recipe is so amazing, quick and easy

This must be a ghanian
Yes please
Man it look good, but too much work.
Oh I'm hungry now
Thought you were just steaming the meat. Too much water
Goat meat is tough and needs more liquids and a longer time to cook
And you want extra liquid for the stock
Isn’t this gonna be too acidic because of all that tomatoes
You can add a pinch of baking soda (or potash) if it’s acidic
The onion looks not cooked
It's not intended to be cook thoroughly, it's for texture that's why it was added towards the end
