The side air vents on the exterior (2:45) actually aren’t foe. They actually help cool the engine. After my mother drives her cts those vents release heat.

Just like the ones on my good old 77 Trans Am! You could hand your hand out in the airflow and feel the warm air coming from them on cool Summer evenings.
