I just started learning this song even though I am still in level 8, I just could not wait
Lisa, through all these years from level 1 piano to level 9, when I’m struggling I always go your channel, then everything feels so easy, and I have a really deep feeling about your videos. Keep it up!!
Wow, thank you! I'm glad you have been enjoying my videos! 😊
I just started level 9 yesterday and all of the pieces are so hard and long. Thanks for the demonstration!
You're welcome! Best of luck with level 9!~ 🎶
Thanks, I am in Markham, Canada and thanks for the grade 9 material because I just got in grade 9 😊
Nice!
Best of luck with level 9! 😊
Thanks!
Omg I live in Canada too! I live in aurora!
Cool i been there its nice
This reminds me a lot of the Revolutionary Etude (Op.10 No.12), it's like the left hand in Revolutionary Etude is swapped with the right hand in this piece, lol
Love the comparison! I agree that it is kind of similar!! 😄This also makes me feel like I should go practice some Chopin Etudes... 😮
Amazing performance! I really liked how you play the appragios smoothly. I can’t even do that yet for this song.😊
Heyyyy Lisa! Thanks for making this video! It really helped me and I really liked it! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!!! 😊
Well Played!
GREAT
How u do that???
Amazing playing🎉👍👏
Thanks a lot!
I’ve learned this one! Glad to see the grade 9 material coming.
Awesome! Yeah there are some fun ones in level 9! 😃
@@LisaTahara For sure. I'm amazed how fast you get these pieces up.
@@glenndrodge6726 😄 there isn't much in the video editing process. It's just a matter of when I work up the energy to actually set up my mics and sit down at the piano these days...😄 but I usually try to record as many in one session/sitting as possible. For example, I got through all level 9 etudes in two short sessions. The repertoire pieces will take much longer as some of the pieces are trickier to play at a professional standard (and I haven't had the motivation to actually work through them yet).
@@LisaTahara It's still impressive that you can learn the Grade 9 pieces so quickly! The Bertini took me a while (several months) but it's essentially there now and at tempo. I don't even enjoy it that much! As a piece of music, it's just - blah. Especially the last page. Yes, I think the repertoire is trickier as well. I'm finding the D minor sinfonia almost WORSE than the G major!
@@glenndrodge6726 😄that reminds me that I need to look through the Sinfonias... my first print Celebration Series has quite a lot of errors throughout the book and the first time I read through some pieces, there were some really bizarre wrong notes printed.
The RCM Etude book doesn’t have pedal markings. Do you think an adjudicator would dock point for pedal use? It just sound so much richer to my ears when pedaled every beat during the arpeggios.
Quick update: the new 2022 edition does have pedal markings added. Whereas the 2015 edition does not
@@pierrecohenmusic yep
Do you consider the peddling in this piece to be particularly challenging it seems like for the passages that have the pedal points you only have to change once per bar is that correct? And in some sections it looks like you have to change once per beach but not more often than that would you agree? Peddling is not my forte but I’m trying to find a piece that wouldn’t be too challenging peddling wise
Is it possible to play the arpeggios both hands crossing over?
Lisa, how long does it take a truly talented pianist like yourself to learn such a piece
There are a lot of repetitive fingering patterns so not too long... I would say about 20-30 minutes.
Wow!
Thanks!
How!? Please give me some tips🥺
You could try and practice by thinking of the first part as 123, 123, 123.
@@cicifeng2216 Thanks! but i'm on Rcm level 10 now, still useful tho! :)
@@Musiclover-jr8sf nice!
@@ryanxu9983 tyy!
