    Boss theory! :D- Stallord might be Volvagia's skeleton. The shape of their heads is basically the same. Now, in OoT, you may remember that Volvagia wasn't that big, but this might be because it occurred during the adult timeline. TP takes place during the child timeline, when the fight against Volvagia never took place, and maybe it was left to grow, until it was imprisoned and killed within the Arbiter's Grounds, or they had it there to feed it with the prisoners...

    • @tranqle73
      @tranqle73 4 роки тому +5

      I mean, isn’t it still dead during the child timeline as well? It’s mention in OoT by Darunia that Ganondorf resurrected Volvagia after the time skip. Given how this Ganondorf didn’t get the Triforce of Power until his execution, it doesn’t make sense for Volvagia to have been revived during the Gerudo-Hylian war pre-TP.

    Boss review:
    Twilit fossil, Stallord
    Location: Arbiter's Grounds
    Stallord is the fourth boss in Twilight Princess. A huge skeletal monster resurrected by a sword of Zant driven right into the skeleton's skull. It's ferocious and has a bone to pick with Link.
    Design:
    Stallord takes the design of a giant skeleton. It is actually inanimate until Zant drives the Scimitar of Twilight into its forehead. There appears to be no skin remaining on this fossil but it seems as if there's some on its neck. It can actually live as a lone skull.
    Battle:
    Stallord resides in a giant sand pit with a small stone path. Link has to walk along the path where he meets Zant on the skull. After a short speech, he summons the Scimitar of Twilight and stabs it into Stallord's head awakening it. The room lights up and the sand pit starts moving signifying that it turned into quicksand. Don't sink. The stone path with disappear too. Staltroops are all over the pit. You have to use the Spinner to take out this monster. Luckily, there's a spinner track around the pit. Use the Spinner to break Stallord's back (literally). The more it breaks, the more Staltroops appear. Spike spinners appear on the tracks too. Avoid both hazards and break the back two more times. Afterwards, the skeleton will fall, the sand will sink and a Spinner socket will appear. Link has to activate it. A pillar rises and Stallord comes back to life. The Spinner is required. You travel up the pillar and Stallord tries to stop you. You have to jump from track to track to avoid damage. It'll come next to you so jump and attack it. It'll then fall allowing you to attack the Scimitar. One round isn't enough to kill it though. The second time around, there's spike spinners on the tracks. Don't touch them. A second round is usually enough. Stallord will explode and the Scimitar will fly up and land in front of you exploding into a Heart Container.
    Conclusion:
    A super fun boss. The first phase is great trying to crack the vertebrae and avoiding the Staltroops and spikes. Second phase is a roller coaster of enjoyment. Striking the Scimitar instead of the skull was a great touch. One of the most enjoyable bosses in Twilight Princess. I rate...

      As for why he was chosen to execute Ganondorf, I am unsure. However, I do understand why he was the one who died. And forgive me for the late response, but... I believe he was killed first because not only was he the one who had attempted the execution, he was also standing directly in front of a now enraged Ganondorf who saught revenge. Fortunately, the remaining sages sealed the monster away before he could kill any others, nor transform into Beast Ganon, as his insane appearance suggested.

      The remake is far better than the original, put down your nostalgia glasses. The only thing where the original beats the remake is the atmosphere in the final battle against Ganon (there isn't that epic black silhouette). Majoras Mask on the other hand: there is the original better, the remake just took away a lot of cool things in the game and the grafics couldn't fix that.
