What’s the details on this build? What was needed? Budget? Final numbers? I have the same B8 with 6 spd as well. Just removed the engine and wondering if I should go single turbo on this 4.2 or do this 4.0t swap. Us 4.2 b8 guys have almost no support in the community besides jhm and a small Number of parts. Majority of companies only push the b8.5 platform because of the 3.0. The 4.0t now has huge aftermarket support and even more in the long term. So I’m leaning towards this swap.
Most of what's needed is in the video actually, but there are off course lots of cooling/hoses/radiators and exhaust mods needed :) Cost is mostly down to complete engine with everything and trans if you want to swap the trans too that is. Correct ratio rear diff, wiring etc. Lots of little stuff.
Just saw you on AutoTopNL. Have an S5 as well. I want to do this soooo bad lmao. I will find a way. So you mated the 4.0 TFSI from the rs5 to the same trans from the rs6 as well right?
So what you are saying that its not impossible to swap the engine with an rs6? I founded a engine just like yours, also with the gear transmission box, but im afraid that someone would fuck it up😩
