- Puerto Jimenez, a small town located on Osa Peninsula, in the South Pacific tip of Costa Rica, serves as the main gateway to Corcovado National Park, the primary attraction of the region. While most people visit Osa Peninsula for the sole purpose of trekking in Corcovado, the town itself and the area surrounding it offers much more to those willing to hang around for a few extra days.
In this Episode, we share the highlights of our stay in Puerto Jimenez, including an amazing kayaking adventure on Golfo Dulce with Aventura Tropicales, a night tour with Ficus Tours and some awesome drone footage of the secluded Playa Platanares.

Hi there! I'm a videographer working on a short conservation documentary about spider monkeys on the Osa Peninsula. Sadly when the rest of my team were out in Costa Rica collecting the footage their drone card corrupted and we lost all their amazing work.

Corcovado while on the Osa Peninsula is NOT in Puerto Jimenez,........
Yeah we know that, we have been multiple times.
It is somewhere you can visit from Puerto Jimenez though, hence why it is on the list. We typically recommend people stay in puerto jimenez vs drakes bay to visit the park as it offers a bit more. Plus by visiting Osa from Puerto Jimenez you can actually do guided walk from the interior and not just coastline
