I'm so so happy Portugal, Moldova, Czechia, Croatia, and Serbia made it through. I was scared for all of them and glad it turned out okay. I'm very sad for Malta and Latvia but it is what it is

Satisfied about 8/10 qualifiers. I was really worried for Czechia, but Vesna were awesome. Loreen and Mimicat's performances were also very good. ⭐
Between the eliminated songs, Latvia gave the best performance in my opinion.
I am incredibly devastated that Latvia didn't make it, I've never been this emotional over a song not qualifying...

I predicted 10/10 for the first time, I don’t even know how, I just chose my 10 during the recap at the end. So sad for Latvia though 💔

I got 8 out of 10. Sad for Latvia and Netherlands. So happy for Finland and Sweden.
I was so oooo sad for Latvia! But it's the semi where there Was were difficult to send someone home. Sudden Lights have a new fan in me - i enjoy a lot also the rest of their songs and listen to them a lot. I still think they should have qualified though :(

Thank you, I went with your emotions of excitement, throwing myself back to yesterday evening. I'm happy for the qualifiers, sad for Malta and Latvia, I loved both of them. I voted for them and for Serbia & Norway. The biggest moment of euphoria (yep 😉)was #teamfinland getting so huge chanting from the audience, I love our adorable Green Boi & his Crazy Dancers so much! You are my favourite UA-camr when it comes to Eurovision & music. Enjoy! 💓💓💚💓💓

I am so sad about Latvia! They did so well, somehow we all knew but my heart wanted is so hard. It was a difficult semifinal anyway, and I like the ones that classified as well.

Watching from home, the non qualifiers seemed to be flat compared to other acts, even my favourite Latvia, though they shone more than the other non-q's.
All qualifiers seemed to bring the energy. Not all smashed their vocals but their energy overrid the vocals.
I actually cried through Czechia's performance ... in a good way ... and then again when Latvia didn't make it!
I was positive Serbia and Switzerland would get through, very pleased.
Wasn't surprised about other qualifiers after seeing the performances.
So glad you made it to the live Rachel! Great wasn't it. What a semi final and atmosphere. Chuffed for Portugal and Switzerland (was concerned as telly vote - would they appreciate amazing vocals?), sad for Malta who gave it everything and Latvia - such a quality composition. Bit a killer semi - someone would lose out. Delighted for Czechia - my no 1 and of course Finland and Sweden.

on the tv, some vocals sounded a bit too quiet - was that similar in the hall?
I thought that for Israel and Norway at the beginning as they sounded so quiet but I had my sound bar on too

I love seeing your reaction and prediction videos but I'm so glad you got it wrong for Portugal! 😊 I wasn't totally confident myself because it was in the SF1 and I wasn't very enthusiastic about the staging either. Glad I got it wrong too! 😅
Finland, woohoo. 🥳 In the live stream it sounded like Finland qualifying got the loudest cheer. Was it like that in the arena too? 🙂

devastated about latvia. in my preshow ranking norway and latvia were roughly tied but honestly i was fully rooting for latvia as the final qualifier, even though it was unlikely.

So happy that you had such a fantastic time at the show!...and so close to Käärijä, too 😄 Congrats to all the qualifiers, happy about Czechia and Portugal (Mimicat and her dancers really hard carried this one home). So sad about Latvia though. Kinda an expected result, but I'd hoped that more people would connect with it. He sang so beautifully, I also really liked the intimate staging. Still happy and thankful that they shared this little gem of a song with the world on the Eurovision stage though. 😊
No real surprised but sad for Latvia and Malta. Either would have been deserving finalists and probably did fairly well. Really happy Portugal made it through. Mimicat just owned the stage even with the LED issues.

And to think EBU wanted to remove the qualification announcement for that X Factor BS... Glad it stayed like always, artists DESERVE to celebrate the Qs or mourn the NQs with their 'team' (backing vocalists, dancers, family, the HoD...)
Feel kinda sad for Latvia & Malta, I'd have swapped at least one of them with Switzerland (not that Remo didn't deserve to go through, I just liked these two a bit more), the rest of qualifiers were the expected ones.

I predicted 9 out 10 somehow. The outlier was Switzerland qualifying over Malta.
Switzerland had an incredible live performance, there was no way they weren't going through. Although then again, I could probably say the same about the Netherlands, and they didn't qualify somehow.
Me too, man... Not happy about that development.
@@maxkho00 The Netherlands was underwhelming to me. Their vocals sounded thin in parts (like in the recap). Switzerland impressed me and I was on the verge of predicting them going through, but second-guessed myself because the song did not seem televote-friendly despite the great performance.

Good job you predicted all of them. I loved Czech Portugal I rooted fro them amongst few other true to their culture music ethnicity vibes singing in their language. Wanted Croatia to qualify and they made it well done. Norway is good song but her performance wasn’t that great. Switzerland guy has beautiful vocals reminded me gjon tears so I’m please

Am I the only one that liked The Netherlands? Anyway, I also got 9/10. I thought that maybe Croatia wouldn’t get through but I’m glad it did
I love Netherlands' studio version, but the octave higher live performance sadly didn't meet the expectation. I will treasure the studio version in my playlist years to come, I'm sure of it.

Well done getting 9/10 right Rachel! I actually got cold feet about an hour before it started and decided to put Netherlands out and Portugal in since something just didn’t feel right about Netherlands getting through. So my revised prediction was 10/10.
What seemed strange to me tonight is that there were absolutely no shocks at all. When juries have been involved in the semi’s we have usually had at least one big shock.
But tonight the results were exactly what the odds said and exactly what made sense.

Watching on TV, you could literally HEAR the difference in the reaction to Kaarija over everyone else. The crowd shouting "Cha cha cha" was easily audible. You also (collectively) appeared to love Let3 too. Once they got to the front of the stage and stripped off, I noticed everyone's phone in the air, arms and flags up, people jumping. Until then it had been a bit pedestrian. I suppose TV does that to live performances sometimes.
I still went with my head over my heart though, and chose Malta to go through over Croatia, so in the end like you, and like last year, I got nine out of ten right.
One thing I am annoyed about this year is that the qualifiers draw which half of the final they perform in BEFORE the press conference on UA-cam. It's part of that stupid deal the EBU have with Tiktok. They need to ditch that for next year, as the main reason to watch the press conference is for the draw. I hope enough people complain, as the livestream started at 10.30pm, and they came out to sit down at 11.15pm! Ridiculous.
Anyway, enough moaning. You look like you enjoyed every minute of it, and I'm well jell (as the kids are saying these days, or something).

Am also quite satisfied with the qualifiers, just a little sad that Latvia and the Netherlands didn't make it through, but honestly, i was kinda expecting it.
This was my first Eurovision in audience and Latvia (a pre-contest favourite) just completely fell flat live… I’m kinda shocked Netherlands didn’t go through over Croatia and I imagine either Netherlands or Malta just missed out and came 11th
I think Malta didn't come particularly well through in tv, probably it was better live. I was impressed by both Portugal and Switzerland, and voted them from Finland. (Of course I was most impressed by Käärijä, though his voice sounded a bit hoarse in the B-part, but of course I couldn't vote for him from here. I'm glad that people in other countries appreciated his performance.)
When I was watching it from home I was thinking of you knowing that you were there and how much you must have been enjoying it 😊❤ love from Spain!
I am so glad Croatia finnaly goes in final. They deserved after all those 7 years? of NQ thanks to Juries. I like that they changed it to televoting only in semis it looks more fair that way, at least in semis. People vote for who they like. Yes, I am still salty For Albina not QF thanks to the great Juries secret system of voting.
Only thing they have to change is so they show us how many points every country got, to make it even more fair.

Well, what can I add, we had the exact same result out of 10! I'm VERY gutted for us, tho. I think it's the first time I've actually felt this bad about a Maltese NQ since I was a kid. But that's the way the cookie crumbled this year. Come to think of it, this was actually a very predictable result, it's exactly what the odds said, and I'm not especially surprised about any of the qualifiers or the NQs for that matter.
Let's see what the heck tomorrow brings - I feel like since tonight didn't bring the big shocker, what we all expected, tomorrow will.
I'm so sad for Malta. but on the other hand, though Portugal is not in my predictions, so happy for her because she did all that without LED graphics.

Exactly the same for me. I thought that colourful staging would see them through and wasn't sure how Croatia would be received. I feel for The Busker and Sudden Lights though - had Latvia been in semi 2 they'd be through.

@@centisgercans1731 yes I think Ireland plus fan votes are enough to save Latvia from last place. Latvia had more fan support than Slovenia last year I think. Sweden and Finland might have given them a few points too.
@@han-oq6bo So Latvia got the 11th place with 34 points, only 3 points less than Serbia, that qualified.
@@centisgercans1731 I'm not surprised heavy fan support alone is usally enough to get a song to 11th place.
Latvia broke my heart. I only had Latvia, Croatia, and Czechia for the showstoppers that night, 10/10.

I found this semi quite easy to predict. Nothing surprised really and for me it was sure Portugal qualifies. Also I think Finland might be a telephone winner in semi and grand finale but jury probably goes for Sweden.

I am very sad that Malta did not make it, but somehow I knew or rather I was afraid of it. I am mad that Croatia did go through(for such entries I miss the jury voting), and I found Serbia on the stage a bit lagging, I did not quite liked them. But the rest was ok and very predictable. I loved seeing you, Rachel, in the arena among the audience, I know that the feeling is very particular and more intense in comparison to watching the show at home. It made me nostalgic and I miss the year I was also in the arena...

All my favorites have going through except my number one Latvia(Sudden lights) but I was prepared so.
And best performance of the night to me without any hesitation is Israel(Noa Kirel).
Noa was a flop, she missed like half of her notes, the staging was boring until the very end, and they even got rid of the piano during the pre-chorus which at least made the song stand out somewhat. Without a doubt one of the more underwhelming performances of the night, together with Portugal, Serbia (unfortunate since I liked the song originally), and Finland (that singing at the end was... ehm let's not talk about it).
@@maxkho00 I agree that Noa was a bit underwhelming, same with Serbia. Hard disagree on Finland and Portugal though, thought they were both fantastic
@@maxkho00 maybe you don't know but ESC is one on the last big stage where singers have to sing in live with no vocoder so they're all doing an amazing job.

I voted for Latvia, Malta, Croatia and Czechia last night. I am very happy for all the qualifiers but also gutted for the NQs. But in Eurovision you win some and you lose some. 😅

Well, I watched it on the YT stream on the EC channel and it all sounded and looked as if no one was singing live, could this be true? Just wondering. However if I watch the single uploads on YT now it sounds like the 'live' version. Strange. Anyone else had this impression?
