That P2 is gorgeous Tom. It's a testament to your dad's talent when it's run for that long without failure. Is this the P2 that went around with Brean Sands? Might have seen it at Cardiff. Maybe a good imlec loco 😉
As one with first hand experiance 2003 has a very strong steam brake which takes some practice to get right and is unusual for engines of this size where most braking is done by a hand brake on the following cars
Yes, it’s a very capable loco, I’ve never really made it work, I did once have the need to get 4 trolleys behind it which was nice, but it still had a lot more to offer.
Superb locomotive, great respect to your father.
Definitely
Another beautiful loco from your Dad, Tom

Yes, that’s the one, I will probably take it to IMLEC one of these days.
Wonderful.
Bit of a slippy stop at the end 😃

Absolutely, it really does grab the wheels well, and that wasn’t even full steam to the brake.
Hi Tom amazing loco it made easy work of that train load 👍🏻

@@TomsWorkshop42 yes I think it would do really well IMLEC
What an amazing Locomotive, how long did it take your dad to build
I think it was 7 years. I was slowed by a house move and renovation in the middle and took a while to get back into it.
How do they put an A4 into a P2?
I’m not quite sure I understand the question. They are different classes, the p2 had more wheels, bigger boiler, bigger cylinders, more power.
