I believe that some wings (design), and how you load them (pilot and paramotor weight) changes a flare window. From my own experience, I had this wing that had such narrow flare window that started 2ft above ground and ended 1ft above ground. If I flared more that 2ft above ground I flared too soon. If I flared below 1ft I flared too late. I couldn't land for the life of me (almost quite the sport because of it). Once I changed into another wing (Universal 1.1) my whole experience changed. The amount of flare authority and flare window made all the difference. Haven't botched a landing since except the one time I land downwind too fast LOL... but that's a different story... Moral of the story is that there are times when equipment may be contributing to the struggle of new pilots (which for experienced pilots may not be as big an issue)... Great video Kyle..
Been thinking about learning paramotoring. This is a great video. Hard to find good videos of new people landing and the advice they are getting from their instructors.
That's an excellent tip if you're not touching the ground when you're halfway into your brakes you started the process too early. Thank you for that reminder
Hi Kyle good content as always hope your finger is healing up looks like you're a lot better than the original video you showed. My main concern is I hope you and your family are all right after the hurricane came through Louisiana our prayers are with you all much love
I don’t think I’ve ever heard the flare explained so well, perfect explanation. I also loved the third person video at the same time, I almost wish someone would do a third person for launches, a frontal/rear view showing how much / when to pull break, especially with Nil wind.
This Is Good Content!!! & Your Finger’s looking like it’s healing good!!! I don’t know how you do your throttle & brake with that hand, but Good Job Kyle!!! Thank You for the tips!!! ,0) I’ll work on that ,0)
My friend always flares early. He is scared his going to fast and going to hit the ground fast. So he flares far to high to bleed off speed. But then nearly always drops a good few feet
My wife goes, "He's not flying with his finger, is he?" I said, "No, he's using his hands." :D Cracked up at the puppy clips! That was a riot! Totally unexpected, HAHAHA! Out from left field, a furiously thrusting puppy, HAHAAHAHA! Landing is the one thing I picked up immediately. I'm on a trike, though, so it's a totally different dynamic than being on your feet. I got it on the 2nd try, and only once found out what happens when you let up too soon - you FLY again, LOL! Then you hit hard as you fall out of the air at 3 feet or so ... BAM!! Another time when I was training, I came in for a landing a bit too high, and didn't see the drainage culvert that I was about to run into. I had already killed the engine, so a go around was out. I instinctively yanked the brakes, but it wasn't that I knew it would pop me up - it was just a gut reaction to try and slow myself down. It worked beautifully, and it made it look like I knew what the heck I was doing in front of everyone, LOL. I also said, "WEEEEE!" as I sailed over the culvert, which got everyone laughing. :D
Im glad you kept your finger but you lost out on an awesome nickname like 9 fingered Kyle or Pinky. Great info as always. Thanks for the video. Fly safe bro!
As the Colonel might say, this video was finger looking good! If calcium supplements don’t work, your shop probably has Viagra. Both known to promote bone growth. Thanks for posting, your videos always great content.
as always..class vids mate..just watched your other video on thrust line.would you possibly give me your oppinion on a frame i just boight.im getting a lot of conflicting views and i need neutral opinion from a pro.no probs if not.hope your well over there👍
@@kyleoglee hiya mate its a Power to fly. with my moster 185.. i just feel the thrust angle too low..and cant really adjust anymore..its about 10 degrees below horizontal
Thats not how you do it... never be smooth on the throttle or brakes! You gotta jam them as hard as you can, let off at the wrong time and break props and gear. If you're not breaking sh!t then you're doing it wrong... 🤣🤣🤣 jk. Excellent content 👌 👏 👍

Awesome video !! The dog scene was killer 😂 glad your healing well.

You've come to the right spot for knowledge!
Very cool 👍😎👍 Thanks for the tip on the flair.
Doing it wrong was literally a laugh out loud! Thanks for the LOL!

Thanks for all the videos you make Kyle! They really help and I hope you never stop making them. Thanks again.
Excellent lesson! Your mastery of the sport and weather pertaining to it is what keeps me coming back!

Good job James! That deserves a celebratory beer! -Matt from Oregon
Where ya at Matt? I'm up in Portland, let's get together and fly some day..

In nil wind, once you've attained a running stride, full brake pressure is then acceptable.
Hi Kyle, another great video. That Pharmacy work is hell on your hands. You need to give it up.
Great vid KyleO. Inspiring as usual. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Agreed, video camera footage from another perspective is very helpful for launch & landing. The dog doing it wrong is a riot! :D
love da down wind flying! great advise, from a great instructor! TY -K
This footage turned out great as far as I'm concerned. Finger is looking really good Kyle.
Great kiting and thank you for the flare tutorial. paralifeppg
Glad to see the finger doing good.
Great content by the way!
Nice footage, James!
Good stuff Kyle, I need advice on landing in soft beach sand !

You da man dawg!!🤙🏼
wish had seen this video 4 years ago :-) too many hard landings broken egos
Kyle O down at the gulf getting Ida footage?
If David had not pulled his brake line again (in .5 sec like he did) the foil would have swung forward on him?
Likely so.
Always awesome!!!🙂
How many times a day do you whack that and hurt it ??? Ouch!!
Im glad you kept your finger but you lost out on an awesome nickname like 9 fingered Kyle or Pinky. Great info as always. Thanks for the video. Fly safe bro!
I cut my pinky off when I was a kid and they were able to reattach it. The physical therapy was brutal…be ready man.

P2F has several different frame options. I'm familiar with many of them.

Sure, drop it in the email address in the video description.
Don’t sprinkle sildenafil on it.
