Welcome to state #25… Missouri! For our time in the Show-Me State, we spent a little over 24 hours exploring the state's most iconic city, St. Louis! From the quirky City Museum to the famous Gateway Arch to cruising the mighty Mississippi on a Riverboat, we did our best to squeeze in as much as possible! And don’t worry… We didn’t forget about the insanely delicious food scene! From St. Louis style pizza and BBQ to Gooey Butter Cake and Custard, we made sure to get a good taste of the Gateway to the West!

Toasted Ravioli, St. Louis style pizza, Gooey Butter Cake, St. Louis Ribs, Frozen Custard (Ted Drews), St. Louis Bread Company (known as Panera outside of St. Louis), and Lion’s Choice Roast Beef. St. Louis has so many great foods to offer and the German and Italian influences resulted in many great restaurants.

You have to reserve seats on the lift in the arch 24 hours in advance. There is a really good Lewis and Clark museum at ground level.
There is a monorail from the airport all the way to the Union Station lobby, which is all that is left of this train station which had closed 50 years ago. There is also a shopping mall adjacent to the hotel lobby. There is an additional train museum nearby

Wow, who knew St. Louis was so much fun?! Y'all keep putting more and more places on our "Gotta Visit List". Wow the City Museum looked so fun. What a fun place to explore and be a kid again. It truly looked like a playground. Too bad you couldn’t access the outside part due to the weather. The toasted ravioli and pizza looked so yummy! Loved the story behind the St.Louis cake, that it was created by accident. Another great video! You guys are so engaging, we love watching your videos!

St. louis is a nice city if you’ve never visited. I feel like a wekeend is more than enough for st. louis. the second time i went back to at louis i felt like i already did everything the first time i was there so i felt the second trip was unnecessary

Born and raised in St Louis. Might not be the biggest or fanciest of city but definitely has it's ins and outs. Contains alot of history being a city that was once the Gateway to to western part of America. Lots of free attractions to visit. And a St Louis Cardinals baseball game is just Magical!
I’ve lived in St. Louis for 19+ years and I still haven’t done everything there is to do. The downtown area doesn’t even have a fraction of things to do compared to the rest of the city.
I have been there a couple times but I would love to go back there is so much more to see.

We did a family trip one summer to St Louis and did the trip up in the arch, it's an incredible monument and so beautiful on the skyline. Brown sugar lavender latte sounds delicious. Again , another outstanding trip. Thanks

City Museum is one of our favorite places on earth! It is amazing! We definitely wear long pants/leggings and knee pads. We love art and we love climbing/exploring so it is a perfect match for our family.

I worked at the city museum when it first opened. I worked at the restaurant on the mezzanine. At that time, the restaurant was a St. Louis Bread company, or as outsiders call it, "Panera Bread". They hadn't even finished the mosaic tiles on the main floor back then. It was fairly slow in the beginning because there was no marketing for it and word about it hadn't gotten out, yet. So, the majority of our customers were the artists who worked on it daily. It's been a work in progress from its opening day. Fun times!
Now I have lived here all my life and never heard of Pappy's lol. Thanks for visiting the STL.
Pappy's is near Fountain on Locust. They're affiliated with Bogart's in Soulard. Not the best BBQ or ribs in St. Louis imho, no matter what magazine said so.

Haha... We've never had Ted Drewes! I know it's more local than Andy's, but we just happened to drive by the Andy's on the way to our hotel! Lol
Andy's is actually another Missouri company, based in Springfield, MO. The family who started Andy's were originally school teachers from Raytown, MO (a suburb of Kansas City). About 20 years ago they moved to Springfield, quit teaching, and got into the frozen custard biz.

This was so fun! That museum looked like if the movie mad max: beyond thunderdome had a playground! Like halfway through Tina turner pops out and is like “if you wanna ride this 10 story slide you owe me 3 gallons of drinking water!” And if you don’t have it she locks you up in that dinosaur.

I’ve been to St Louis 3 times last there about 6 years ago. Been up arch twice. Ate at Sweetie Pie’s. Been to St Louis Zoo. I’d recommend St Louis as decent city to spend a weekend in.
