I am so excited that y'all chose Fargo for the ND trip- I lived there for a year and I was surprised at how much it has to offer and how much I loved living there. The people there are unlike anywhere else with how friendly they are and Fargo is a really special place and Drekkar is one of my favorites !!!

Fargo has had an increase in crime in the last two years. Really Really cold winters. Buying property 20 or 30 minutes out of the metro is a pretty good price. But low wages . I live in the Phoenix metro now . I would never move back there.
I was born there and lived there a long time. Even police are nice. When I was 8.5 months pregnant my car died going uphill (around Christmas 2008) on 45th towards 7th Ave N, and a police officer tried helping me push the car, when he realized I was pregnant, he pushed the car with his cruiser to a safe spot and offered me a ride but my sister said she would come to tow it. I was being mugged (quite politely, “sorry I have to do this to you, I have a knife and I don’t want to hurt you but I need money”), and homeless Native American veteran stepped in and saved me. Named one of my children after him. ❤️❤️❤️ He walked me to work for months after that so I always made sure he had food, clothes, water, etc. but he wouldn’t come in for a cup of coffee because he didn’t want me to be scared. Most Fargoans love other people thankfully, but there are a few bad eggs, I was probably one of those in my teen years lol.
My husband and I loved your video especially how you shared how important community is to us in North Dakota! Fargo is a great example of the spirit of the great things that are happening all across the Main Streets in North Dakota towns. Thanks for sharing that with your viewers.

I’m a Fargo native but been living in Colorado Springs area for about 5 years and the whole time wanting to go back and actually we are but everyone asks why and this video is the best thing to show when they ask just because it has a little of the heart from the people, shows a ton of just the town areas, the beautiful greenery that Colorado doesn’t have lol, and just the fact that someone who travels all over saying it’s a great town to visit is the best way to answer them lol thank you guys keep up the travels and be safe

@@nubieOSS I can't say for sure if it's easy but I can say this much: Fargo absolutely has a labor shortage right now. I'm not sure if it's because of covid or what but there are help wanted signs all over the city. Several stores and restaurants have had to adjust (reduce) the hours they're open due to the lack of workers. I have no idea what your chances are of being hired, but I do know you will have dozens of opportunities to apply for work. Best of luck!

I've lived in Texas my whole life so the winters will take some getting use to from what I hear. Finding work and reasonable rent are my top two priorities. My relative makes strawberry rhubarb kuchen. Homemade even. She has a professional kitchen for baking many different flavors. She lives here in North Dakota. She won the Best Kuchen award in the 2018 Pride of ND award. You really should try some! Let me know, and I'll give more info.

We live about a hr south of Fargo. We moved up here little over 4 years ago from Phenix City AL and love the area. In Minnesota need to check out Detroit Lakes. Also need to visit up here during the winter

But Bismarck has the history of this far state, and a few less thousand people. What we lack in people we makeup for in beauty, history, flavor, and the great out doors! If you are able to, hop across the river to Fort Abraham Lincoln, the headquarters of Custer's 7th Calvary. If you can, do it in May or Early fall, that is when the weather is best and there is less people.

It is great to see places you would never consider visiting. The great thing about visiting small towns are you get to meet the people and learn more about the place then you would by just passing through. I lived downtown for a decade, but moved out of the neighborhood about 8 years ago. I still think of it as my stomping ground, but clearly it's been too long. I didn't know most of the restaurants, which is crazy. I wish they had gone to Nichole's Fine Pastry, though. Best desserts, hands down.

I live in Fargo and love it. The winters can be tuff here but the people are amazing, as well as the massive variety of different ethnic foods and restaurants and great bars. BTW, I probably made your steak gorgonzola. I was working at the prairie kitchen as a chef the night you two were there. One thing that bugs us the most is when people think the movie Fargo, is exactly how it is, when it is nothing like the movie at all. 😆

I actually live right across the river over here in Moorhead, and it’s pretty cool what we can offer for visitors in the Fargo-Moorhead area! One thing we offer during the summer is Minor League Baseball, I highly suggest taking in a game of FM RedHawks Baseball at Newman Outdoor Field for anyone planning on visiting! We’re still hoping to win an American Association championship final, especially since our manager is a former RedHawks player & 2008 World Series champion
It’s crazy to see people visiting my home town saying these things when I’ve always wanted to leave… the winter is even better lol glad you enjoyed it at least
If you ever visit Fargo North Dakota 10/10 reccommend the Wurst Bier Hall they have a giant prezel and a bunch of sausage choices and a lot more you can even get a root beer from a keg for non-alcoholic people and a bunch of other drinks

Cool video. Uploaded February 14th 2022, but recorded in...well any time before November 2021. It's been a long cold winter this year. I moved to Fargo in 1994. Back then Fargo was so lame and nothing to do. BUT Fargo has really stepped up their game over the passed 3 decades. It's a good place to live, good place to raise a family. It does get very cold here though. So cold it makes your insides cry. Summer time is awesome and at the peak of summer the sun sets at 10:30 PM. Long , Long days in the summer. P.S. I almost forgot. Thank you for featuring this town that I live in.

the viking ship was built in my hometown of Hawley MN, there's a picture of me watching them pull it out of the warehouse they built it in and i got to see while they were building it, i got to walk around the catwalk of the old potato warehouse and watch them build it

I’m a Fargo native but been living in Colorado Springs area for about 5 years and the whole time wanting to go back and actually we are but everyone asks why and this video is the best thing to show when they ask just because it has a little of the heart from the people, shows a ton of just the town areas, the beautiful greenery that Colorado doesn’t have lol, and just the fact that someone who travels all over saying it’s a great town to visit is the best way to answer them lol thank you guys keep up the travels and be safe

@@nubieOSS I can't say for sure if it's easy but I can say this much: Fargo absolutely has a labor shortage right now. I'm not sure if it's because of covid or what but there are help wanted signs all over the city. Several stores and restaurants have had to adjust (reduce) the hours they're open due to the lack of workers. I have no idea what your chances are of being hired, but I do know you will have dozens of opportunities to apply for work. Best of luck!

I've lived in Texas my whole life so the winters will take some getting use to from what I hear. Finding work and reasonable rent are my top two priorities. My relative makes strawberry rhubarb kuchen. Homemade even. She has a professional kitchen for baking many different flavors. She lives here in North Dakota. She won the Best Kuchen award in the 2018 Pride of ND award. You really should try some! Let me know, and I'll give more info.

We live about a hr south of Fargo. We moved up here little over 4 years ago from Phenix City AL and love the area. In Minnesota need to check out Detroit Lakes. Also need to visit up here during the winter

@@AdventuresofMattandNat Heritage Center renovated and updated recently, was pretty good and really explains our state's history, values, and modern day characteristics. If you are able to, hop across the river to Fort Abraham Lincoln, the headquarters of Custer's 7th Calvary. If you can, do it in May or Early fall, that is when the weather is best and there is less people.

I lived downtown for a decade, but moved out of the neighborhood about 8 years ago. I still think of it as my stomping ground, but clearly it's been too long. I didn't know most of the restaurants, which is crazy. I wish they had gone to Nichole's Fine Pastry, though. Best desserts, hands down.

I live in Fargo and love it. The winters can be tuff here but the people are amazing, as well as the massive variety of different ethnic foods and restaurants and great bars. BTW, I probably made your steak gorgonzola. I was working at the prairie kitchen as a chef the night you two were there. One thing that bugs us the most is when people think the movie Fargo, is exactly how it is, when it is nothing like the movie at all. 😆

Awwww. I went to the Fargo theater to watch crouching tiger hidden dragon. It was amazing.
I actually live right across the river over here in Moorhead, and it’s pretty cool what we can offer for visitors in the Fargo-Moorhead area! One thing we offer during the summer is Minor League Baseball, I highly suggest taking in a game of FM RedHawks Baseball at Newman Outdoor Field for anyone planning on visiting! We’re still hoping to win an American Association championship final, especially since our manager is a former RedHawks player & 2008 World Series champion

Uploaded February 14th 2022, but recorded in...well any time before November 2021. It's been a long cold winter this year.
I moved to Fargo in 1994. Back then Fargo was so lame and nothing to do. BUT Fargo has really stepped up their game over the passed 3 decades. It's a good place to live, good place to raise a family. It does get very cold here though. So cold it makes your insides cry.
Summer time is awesome and at the peak of summer the sun sets at 10:30 PM. Long , Long days in the summer.
P.S. I almost forgot. Thank you for featuring this town that I live in.
Heyyy!! Thanks so much for watching! Yea... We filmed on September 1st last year! Much warmer than it is now! Lol... We wanted to get the video out MUCH sooner, but with all of the traveling on top of holding down our jobs back in Nashville, we got way behind on uploads.
Oh, wow! I bet you really have seen a lot of change happen since 1994! From our short visit, I can absolutely see how it would be a great place to live and raise a family... so long as you can survive the winters! Lol

the viking ship was built in my hometown of Hawley MN, there's a picture of me watching them pull it out of the warehouse they built it in and i got to see while they were building it, i got to walk around the catwalk of the old potato warehouse and watch them build it

I currently live in Fargo...moved here from NYC a year ago so I'm still getting to know the area (and getting used to the ND winters) but there are some great sights, great food as you note here.

I've lived in fargo for 38 years ,if you havent already been there krols diner is my favorite place to eat ,soo freaking good !

As somebody who lives in Fargo I’m surprised at how many things that you found to do in Fargo lol also it took me a second to realize this was filmed a while ago and not actually two weeks ago because it is currently snowy, slushee, and gross

in this video . I always watch your videos from beginning to end without interruption irrespective of the duration . Since your contents are good and informative and your presentation is really awesome I just can't help appreciating you for your style of presentation with so pleasant voice and judicious modulation . Moreover you look simply fabulous along with your hubby Matt . Both of you are as cute as the Fargo city is .
