- I went to one of the largest fruit wholesale markets in Southeast Asia and bought some seasonal fruit like bayberry and litchi. I made bayberry wine, dried bayberry and bayberry juice. I thought that I had bought less bayberry. In order to satisfy my appetite, I made fried food from my childhood. That spice smells so good. Do you like bayberry? The bayberry is ripe. Louisa Djaya the area where she lives is famous for the best lychees. There are big ones that aren’t gmo, but because it’s so good and delicious, local people basically consume it all and people in other parts of China hardly have the chance to get to have big ones like what she bought. Lychee is really picky about the climate and soil and gets harvested once a year over a short period of time. People living where lychee grows are so lucky! I grew up in that region but hasn’t had lychee for years since I moved😭
