Honestly, the ocean view room was great! I thought it would be claustrophobic, but it wasn’t at all. The viewing window was large and there was a couch, tons of storage space and a nice vanity table. It exceeded my expectations. My parents had a verandah room and it actually felt more cramped than mine. I spent most days at the pool or sitting outside anyway do so I really didn’t miss not having it.
We've got an ocean view family cabin with TWO BATHROOMS, including a tub, thanks to our HA agent, knowing that one of us is 95 years old and loves a good soak. BTW, the cabin is huge with double the closet space.
My introduction to Konningsdam was the opportunity at the time, a great deal on a solo cabin with ocean view. It was spacious and lacked nothing, for this first time cruiser it exceeded expectations. It would be my first go to choice on any cruise line. As a senior it made my trip so much more affordable without occupancy/supplements. The onboard entertainment and ports of call all made this a great ship choice. This kind of deal is now so much harder to find, I'm just sad to learn aspects of the Music Walk have been cancelled.
Neptune suites are the only way we sail on HAL these days. You get spoiled and never want to go back to other rooms and that’s how we got hooked. Pinnacle suite is on the bucket list for one day.
You showed a basic veranda room with the bathtub!? We were on the Koningsdam six months ago and we’re told that there was no bathtubs except on the big suites? We are going on the Koningsdam again in a few months and we are wondering where the veranda basic rooms are with the bathtubs included? Please respond back to me thank you in advance
That particular cabin was number 1027 (I just happen to have video showing the cabin number), but to be honest, we saw several cabins, so not sure if this is standard. I will tell you that it is not a full tub. It's a tub/shower, and is smaller than a full tub.
hate holland america, will never sail with them again, they suck ass and will rip you off for sure! take if from a person who just paid 12,000.00 for a neptune suite, and got next to nothing. I thought this would be a fantastic Alaskan cruise. there was bad food, bad dining, no wildlife, bad weather. Never again, after a year of planning and more that 12,000 dollars on a nurses salary. Such a complete let down! Don't do it!
Thank you for sharing. It's always great to see up close and personal what the rooms look like. Great selling point.
We went in a veranda cabin 7141. We loved it

The verandah cabin shown here is the basic verandah/balcony cabin? This shop has activities for teens? Son is 15. Thanks!

No wildlife and bad weather? How is that HA's problem? Your complaining "sucks @ss".
