Just discovered these guys, yeah I know I’m late…. Damn they groove.
What an awesome sound from this band, I've only just picked up on them. Will they be touring the UK in 2022?
I saw these guys in 1990 on the automatic tour. After the show I met them behind the venue to get their autograph. Their scottish accent was so thick I couldn't understand a word they were saying! I thought it was their way of avoiding talking to me. It wasn't until the late 90's when I saw the movie trainspotting I realized that a thick scottish accent is real thing.
And trainspotting is edinburgh. The mary chain is from Glasgow
@@tastemaker_87 Edinburgh is "posher" than Glasgow.
I love rock and roll....
I hate Rock N Roll Munki.
Jim is still one of the greatest vocalists in rock history. His tone and attitude are equal parts menacing and seductive. And of course, the band just kicks ass all around and always has. Plus, Loz Colbert on drums... 😎 🤘
The bass player from Lush too :)
Loz Colbert totally wrong drummer for this band, bass player would fit in better with a wedding tribute outfit.. this whole set-up whilst good on paper simply does not capture anything close to the JAMC edge/energy. All being played FAR too safe.. stop playing to an imagined TOTP audience and start playing to the fans.. give it some bollocks!
No this is a good band. Good drummer. The brothers did most of there music without a band. Sync drums etc
@@tomslick2058 I've seen them live enough times to know that the Loz/Lush combo was an extremely disappointing experience.. I'm not saying that they're not good musicians.. just simply not hitting the JAMC vibe. Been into JAMC since 84/85...
@@fiskrond9212 Loz Colbert is an INCREDIBLE drummer, best drummer they've ever had, by far!
God they're good.
Oh, how I love William Reid’s sick guitar distortion! ❤️

@@jeromesantilan9511 very true
If I was trapped on an island with only one band to listen to, this is that band.
Dave. I went to see them last year at The Riverside Newcastle. I was having a pint outside about 4 o clock when Jim walked by. I said hello and shook his hand and thanked him for the music. We had a good chat for about 10 mins when he asked me if i fancied another pint. He went in and brought 2 pints out and we chatted again for half an hour. I told him April Skies is the best song ever made and when they started to play it he looked at me gave me the thumbs up and winked. What a guy.
brother
F*ckin WRIGHT
If I was on a desert island id take them!!!😆😂👍
If I was trapped on a desert island id take them!!!!😆😂👍
Love the Reid Brothers since Psycho Candy, they changed the music world and influenced 1000s of bands.
I cant count how many times I've watched this oslo performance. Perfect.
crowd are dead
What a fu(king incredible legendary band...Jesus and Mary Chain FOREVER!!!
🤟
Fucking hell, Loz's high hat work... Also absolutely NAILS Sidewalking.
Television Sick Television Crazy surely one the finest couplets in rock n roll.
crikey his live vocals are brilliant
I mean, they are flat but ok.
What a great way to kick back on a Sunday arvo listening to this even 15years after the show .... excellent
"Stop!" Jim was always in control and William is a genius. :-)
Love this band!! jesus Mary Chain Forever !!💙💙💙
Great Band and Great Show
magical concert. i luv them so much.
80s indie fans look no further, you have found the Holy Grail
Magníficos Jesús and Mary Chain, grupo que empezó a escuchar con 15 años. Muy parecidos a The House of Love, Dream Sindycate etc.
Cuando en el estado español en el año 93 prácticamente el punk arrasaba con cientos de bandas sobre todo en The Basque Country , pero había público para todo la música underground. Un saludo desde el País Vasco ✊🏽✊🏽🖤😎💣💣@@@. Thank you so much!!.....
Love this band❤️
💛💛 yellow Dream looping what a Set !!! A voyageur in Time rmx memories how to become Future, Amazing!!!! You guyz rock!!!
Bloody good concert!
One of those bands which is much better on Spotify than live. Especially in 2024.
Sometimes I just have to disagree. They were excellent when I saw them some weeks ago, and they are much more of a live than studio band. But, we're all different.
Jim Reid... still got it. Whew...
There are loads of young females, and males, in the crowd. I wonder how they all got interested in The Mary Chain. I am old enough to remember them, from the their early days. Big shoes. Big hair. Big tunes. Like, punk/goth anthems, or something. Always love them. They just sound so great. So cool. 👌
I agree totally, every song has a killer hook.
One of my all-time favorites!
TIMELESS!
I dont know why this is so good!
`Cause it's true Rock'n'Roll
Because it fuckin rocks!
Andy P Wolf- Took the words......
Used to be loads a gothy folks at 80s JMC gigs and Im still one of em. Then I always loved my stoner rock. Loop, Thee Hypnotics were also so underrated like JMC but then I guess they were soooo ahead of their time. Legendry Reid brothers.
gracias por kevin por hacerme parte de tu mundo y mostrarme esta joyita :)
Even when Jim is not in his betters days, JMC is one of the greatest band of world
Love seeing Dr. Loz from RIDE playing drums for the JAMC!!
I recognize that drummer! That's kick ass. The drummer from Ride playing with JAMC. How cool is that?
Yup, Dr. Loz!!!
@@michaelclark3195 always kicking ass
Dude can really play a killer beat.

Una de mis bandas favoritas, que buen concierto

You trip me up!!!!! yeeeeeeeeeh
Probably will never get to see one of my favourite bands live now. Time waits for no man. No Cherry Came Too here or Darklands.

Seen them in Edinburgh recently different class
Stellar
Oooooooooooh.... ohhhhhhhhh.... oooooohhhhh!
Their stage presence is unsurpassed. 🥱 Notice how the director started to play with his drone camera towards the end. 😆
Just checking if they can still play Snakedriver.
Love the riff of “i wanna be your dog” in “reverence”. Fucking powerful!
❤❤it feels like teen spirits
Was JMC fan since never understand. Never Understood how Oasis got so big without a nod to JMC. Saw JMC at ULU twice and then either Brixton Accademy Marquee or100 club when they were 2 hours late and only performed two tracks, a riot nearly started.
I have been a fan since Stoned and Dethroned and I have never seen these guys. Mayne I still have a chance?
🇧🇷🤟🏼
lookin good!!
KILLING IT
'..I LIKE TO TRIP (HALUCINATE) YOU - UP !..'
faz parte das prediletas dá casa!
Jim singing Cracking Up, interesting that now (remember the Later performance???)
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎸🎸🎸🥰🥰❤️🙏🙏🙌🙌🙌
4:13 : Matthew Gray Gubler's double? ;p
I loved the Automatic record all those year ago, but wow, not since Oasis have I ever watched a less enthusiastic band on stage. Still love the music, though.
wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Love all the comments from part timers. Pavement are nothing but karaoke FFS. As MES pointed out ahem (RIP).
Seriously, has no one spotted it. the same faces at all the gigs. You will see them,
2:31 Why are they all still standing there? Can't they jump? Can't they have fun? This is J&MC.
Jim forgot some of the words in Between Planets - hadn’t noticed that before haha
Iraha atuh ka endonesia jim. Hayu diantoa
Muito bom, valeu!
El mejor disco de los Jesús es darklands, a mi modo de entender
wohohohoooo
51:30 wait a minute...
passing spoon, white box underneath guy on the left...
did this camera man just catch 2 guys about to do heroin on the roof? lmao
Loz fr Ride on drums !
"Loz" on drums :)
"All things must pass" but not JAMC!:-)))))
the bass in the first song????
Where is the 'Noise'?
👍👈 !
They don't make fuzz pedals like in the 80s anymore.
Soon as I get my HEAD around you
Da hora o show, pena que a câmera mostrou mais o público e a paisagem do que os rapazes do JAMC se apresentando =/
I like it. Alot of hate. Hmm
B L I S S
Wtf is going on with William here? Tuning issues? He even hits a wrong note on Some Candy Talking and what happened with the solo on Reverence? Piss poor.
"Sir, you need a wristband."...."but im singing"........."yeah, still."

eu# BANDINHA DAY iii ~~~ ~y~
Foda
Right. Great, bad, off key, dull, warming up, loud, cool as fuck, cooler than fuck, shit crowd, warming up some more, and William might be "out of key", who cares. Plus Jim saying " Stop! Different keys" , and keeping the band in line. Kind of.
2017 not 2007
I have always had the feeling this band don't like playing live. In Aberdeen, back in the day, they only played for 15 minutes. Great band but.
Sonic Surgeons
Muitá drogaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Why they don't play the songs of MUNKI live?
That's an excellent question. I never noticed that but they sure as hell don't do they? They play songs off their brand new record, "Damage and Joy" though.
Craking Up is from Munki
Find the Dulcimer.
Did I say something about all the _HOT FOXES_ in the audience?!
'Cos they is.
2007 or 2017?
2007
Remember seeing this band twice in early 90s, both awesome shows. Also remember many mosh pits! But I guess that's not in style now.... :/. Audience seems bored. :/
Saw them at Brixton back then and the mosh pit was wild, not sure whats up with the crowd here. That said my mosh pit days are very much over!
See that a lot. Always think "should a middle age balding guy have to show young people how you dance?"
