For the Stanford one. Is it okay if we have like 60 word paragraph about a specific experience and the (200 words) is a why us. I treated mine more so like a why us/contribution essay

Hello Kevin! Thanks for the insightful video. Would writing about overcoming my speech impediment be a good topic choice for this prompt?

Question: Would a story about my journey from placing dead last at my first International sports competition to winning my event ~4 years later, where I glean a lesson around perseverance through challenges, be too generic? It's very different from the types of examples you showed, and I'm worried that the lesson will be too generic (+ hard to mention those Stanford proper nouns with this type of story). Any thoughts would be appreciated!

You’re telling me that’s all you learned? Really? I learned how to “persevere through challenges” by eating a jumbo hot dog. Great premise, but at least in my opinion the lesson should be more specific. It doesn’t even necessarily have to be a “lesson,” just show how it shaped you. At least that’s my useless opinion 🤷

seems like it would since you're talking about something that makes you different from your peers.

Hii im turkish and should I mention in my essay that I stutter?Actually, I can control it sometimes, but it's hard to hide it from people. So in high school, I stopped hiding it and said whatever I wanted to say without any shame.Does mentioning this put me at a disadvantage:(
