To get that carb on the boot sometimes you have to heat the boot up with a small torch to get it to be playable again that rubber hardens after years

I have a sportsman 500 and I’m order to get it in that boot the clamp has to be basically as loose as you can get it because it’s tight already pushing it in and when it expands with just even a slightly tight clamp it’s a pain in the rear hope you get it fixed.

Me and my friend just did the exact same thing he did on the 500 on ours and the carb was so difficult to get the carb back on the manifold he will have a hard time good luck it took us 7 hours to get ours running

Why don’t you go to your local parts store with the old battery and see if they have it so then you don’t have to send the new battery back if you get another one and it’s wrong and you could know it’s the right battery before it gets to your house???

Need to drain the gas at the fuel pump under the fender. Inlet line is on the side with two barbs, which runs to the tank.
