In 15 December will open the green line and red line and finally in 5 January will open the orange line from west to east of Riyadh which is the longest line in Riyadh metro. Riyadh metro is the largest driverless metro in the world, operating by renewable energy like electricity. The elders above 60, students, people with special needs have 50% discount on ticket. I am really hoping a similar project starts being built in Jeddah (there’s one in the works, but it has been years and by now I think it needs to be replanned considering how much different Jeddah has expanded.) I would gladly live car-free in Riyadh or Jeddah when a comprehensive transit system is in place! Subbed for the nice vlog :)

Because we didn't prepare an infrastructure for it and it wasn't needed before and only had trains connecting some cities to Riyadh and Makkah .. but with Riyadh being the capital and people coming here to work and with our 2030 vision it became a necessity and started working on it 10 years ago but got delayed because of COVID.

Compared to uk trains it’s nice and clean and the seats are not filthy. I know it’s brand new metro but other trains that have been in service for few years are still clean.
I noticed that you are blurring the faces or eyes of the women around you, but you don't really need to do that, especially if her face was completely covered.
