The doctor telling u that you are "bad at pushing" drives me up a wall. That is NOT what a mother needs to hear when shes trying to relax and feel confident in her ability to birth her child naturally
Wow! It's the cute, fun, personable Shapiro. Your honesty about the challenges of balancing a newborn with a two year old is great for expecting moms or current moms. Comparing your two births is also helpful. I am also glad your mother was present to experience the birth of one of her grandchildren. It's a really important experience for you, your mother, and the tiny one addition to your family. Be well. 🌼
Great to see you back and thriving Abby! Be kind to yourself and remember that all families are different and you know what’s best for yours. You’re doing amazing and you’ve got this. Looking forward to the new content. 🤍🌻
congrats beautiful your hair suits you so well i can’t even!!! your glowing and those baby’s are in the best best hands have ofc missed your videos and are the sweetest personality Abby don’t feel the yt pressure have fun with these it’s what you deserve and have earned!❤❤
🪷🪷🪷 Yay!!!!!! Can’t believe you’re back! So excited!!! You inspire me to be a better mom to my 23 month old and 8 month old boys! Can’t wait to see what’s ahead! ❤
So happy for you and your family! I'm having my second this summer and this video made me even more excited to have two little ones. Thanks for sharing your experience and perspective shifts. They're really helpful 🌷
🏵️🌼🏵️I like it a lot when you talk about becoming a mother. I can really relate to these stories. I had my first child around the same time as you and same for the second one. About the sleep situation I learned something really interesting recently: My pediatrician asked me how my sleep was. I told her my sleep was fine and was feeling alright but that I was a bit worried because I slept so little, sometimes only 5-6 hours a day and that I was questioning myself how long I could go on like this. She told me to stop counting hours and only listen to my feelings. Breastfeeding releases hormones that alter the sleep of breastfeeding women. They spend less time in light sleep and go faster into deep sleeping mode. Because of the little time we spend in REM-sleep (light sleep) we forget things easier, it's not the perfect time to prepare for a thesis. But we can survive with way less sleep than other people. We are so to say in survival mode. Since I know that I'm less stressed about not sleeping enough.
Omg I thought I was the only one with PP contractions like that! I tell people recovery is worse than giving birth! I would cry every time I had to breastfeed because the contractions would come right after. Everyone hypes up the birth way too much. It is the recovery that we need support and help the most in my opinion.
🌸🌸🌸 so happy to see you back you look beautiful! Your mom seems like the best and very wise! About to give birth to my second as well they will be EXACTLY two years apart to the day if baby #2 comes on her due date! I was curious how far off from your due date your second came!
Postpartum contractions - Ugh, that sounds awful! I had never heard of that either. I love the idea of introducing an older sibling by having the baby in the stroller instead of holding the baby. That might make more sense to a small child than having Mom holding this stranger that they feel is "replacing" them. That said, he'll go through some of that feeling anyway, so don't feel too bad. Growing up is hard, no matter what you do. He's got a great family and tons of love. I have no doubt he will be okay. :) I've been locked out of stupid Xitter for going on two years. Appeals have been ignored. Glad to see you back!
1) that doctor saying you're 'bad at pushing' is CRAZYYYYY. like what???? 2) congrats on baby #2, kinda hoping baby #3 is a girl. I wanna see girl mom Abby in action hehe 🌼
Welcome back! I currently have a 22 month old son and I'm 34 weeks pregnant with identical twin girls. First three months are going to be hard! I love watching your videos, I watched them through both my pregnancies as you are only a little ways ahead of me. (though sort of behind now if I'm gonna have three kids!) Your hair looks great btw!
Oh my word I relate so much! My first two were 20 months apart- -epidurals are the BEST! it makes the world of a difference when you get an experienced nurse who knows what she’s doing. My third Baby was born in a student hospital and it was a student doing my epidural and it did not take everywhere like the first two did. But also 100% epidural if it’s what you want. It made labor go smoother because I wasn’t fighting contractions and I was able to be present and I remember it! I labored for too long with my first and it was stalled and that was all a blur to me. -my after labor contractions were also debilitating with my second. Way worse than labor pains. My MIL was staying with us and she kept asking me if they needed to take me in because of it. Thankfully with my third I knew how big of a thing it was likely to be so I had EVERYTHING in place to handle it. I could keep writing, but I need to go get groceries. I have one more question. I’ve been getting into baroque music lately. King Arthur by Purcell specifically. Do you have a favorite baroque piece? (I am completely new to classical music!)
Congrats to your fam! Sweet story, and sweet attitude about everything God has blessed with from you as always. I feel you on the “end date” stuff. That helps me immensely too. Everything is just a season, and that goes for good and bad times. It’s easier to keep perspective if you keep that in mind. Welcome back, Classic Lady!
🌹 Happy to see you back, Abby! Congratulations on your new baby ❤ the new cut looks great. I'm 28 and looking forward to starting a family so I love that you're sane and on UA-cam lol
Welcome back!! 🌺 I felt we were preggy partners because you were only 4 weeks ahead of me! I had a (so I was told) medically necessary c section SCHEDULED but ended up giving natural, unmediated birth at triage upon arrival lol apparently the contractions I was timing all night was actual labor rapidly progressing so when I lifted my leg to sit on the exam bed in triage, my waters broke and our son started his descent and was out in 2 big pushes! I shared the fear of pushing as I was at risk for uterine rupture (3 prior c sections) and didn't have time for antibiotics (GBS+) or an epidural. I also had the apprehension of my husband not being there as he ran out to go move our car and thought he would make it back in time which he did not lol I left it all to God and our son was born completely healthy and I was virtually unscathed! And since my husband missed the whole show, I got to cut the umbilical cord for the first time! There was about 5 min between my arrival to triage and cutting the cord 😂😂
Agreed, there’s not necessarily “shame” in getting an epidural. But there are countless RISKS!!!! Do your research people! Glad everything went well for you Abby.
🌷Congratulations Abby! I’m so happy you’re back. Looking forward to your next videos. I’m currently pregnant with my third and I struggle big time with letting my kids watch too much tv. You’re a huge inspiration to me in trying to do better.

They are bad at doctoring and nursing.

It’s good hearing from you again. Even though I’m an elderly grandmother, it fun to see another mom have such joy in motherhood as I had. 🌻🌸💐
My kids are 21 months apart, too. It is amazing. Yes, they fight, but they also have a friend always there.

I have never heard of postpartum contractions. Sounds awful. Welcome back, and looking forward to hearing you say what needs to be said. 🌻
It’s how the uterus goes back down to normal size
Congrats on the second bundle of joy! The oldest is already 2!? What!? Where has the time gone!?
