Luzerne Valley Railroad revisited: Running a Freight Train

Today, we are running a freight train around the 4-3/4 inch gauge Luzerne Valley Railroad in New York State. Unlike the Mill Brook Railroad, which is run like an industrial railroad, the Luzerne Valley is a big outdoor model railroad with about a mile of track in the woods.
The railroad was built by the late Joe Kavanaugh, who built the railroad, and most of the rolling stock. Today, it is maintained by a group of volunteers. We visited the railroad in the 28th of July, 2024.
