- In this video, I show you how to install a set of drawer slides. My kitchen is from the 90s which means that its out of date but the cabinets are still in good condition. The biggest problem that we have with the cabinets are the drawer slides. They are a less expensive style, the screws have become a little loose over the years, and get accidentally slammed all of the time. This is a much cheaper upgrade than remodeling the entire kitchen... but that still might happen. 😁

i can 1,000% recommend changing the slides. i did it in my kitchen and it is sooooo nice. life improvements are important.
Laminate cabinets are terrible. Please keep your real wood cabinets!

I don't have any drawer slides. My cabinets & drawers are original to the house, built in 1945, craftsman. The kitchen was built in place from plywood, stained & varnished. They all work, they just look a bit outdated because of the color. Sometimes a few drawers stick, being I'm in Florida with our humidity, it's expected. Just the quirks of owning an old house.
Excellent fix and upgrade. Those cabinets are really well made. I wouldn't tear those out. You could order new door panels and put new hardware and stone countertops and it will look like a 60000.00 kitchen.
Hire someone to paint the cabinets white.
Can this also work with drawers in a dresser?
I just bought a trailer built in 1982 and my drawers have center sliders that keep fall out of place and I HATE them. The way they're set I don't even know if I can do side sliders...

For reference, Blum, Accuride, Hettich, Fultrer, Knape & Vogt, and Richelieu are the most common brands out there. Blum being the best option for undermount drawer slides and the easiest method for installing drawer slides, of course if it's possible to do an undermount in a situation.
The blooper clip is exactly what I would expect. lol I may try this on one of my kitchen drawers that just likes to fall out all the time. It is dangerous. Thank you.

THANKYOU ! My kitchen is 64years old, and i quite like it apart from the drawers that run wood on wood, so make the cupboards below dusty. Im going to use this video, and another to make the grooves in the drawersides, to fix them! 😊
