It's same price range as Suzuki Vstrom 800 DE (IBEX comes with cruise control...it works, and throttling up NOT deactivating it is normal. App does not work if you have poor reception). From my test rides, Vstrom is a better bike in terms of balance and refinement, and when you ride it, you can feel that Suzuki has put lots of thoughts and experience into it - only lacking is the cruise control (but you can have the throttle lock).
A few more notes: Quickshift is very smooth. Braking is also very good - almost as refined as Euro brand bikes. I'm 5'7" 160lb so for me, it felt rather bulky in terms of width - but very manageable and responsive. Handle bar vibrates a lot more than expected. CFMOTO invited me for a eurotip with the 800MT. And it’s such a great bike, very comfy and such a great engine for an adventure. Really enjoyed the time 🙌
@Chaseontwowheels, you do know that the engine in that IBEX is 100% the 790KTM Adventure bike right? CF Moto builds all 390 and 790 engines for KTM. They will soon be building the 890 and 1290. CF has had a partnership with KTM for some time now!
The power drops off like that because they restrict the bike with the ride by wire tables. You can twist the throttle as much as you want, but if the table says to back the throttle plates down to 70% after 5500rpm, that's all you get. An ECU flash usually cures that.

For the heating, The smaller the resistance, the greater the current, and the cable heats up, the problem is that it can burn. A short pause is needed for this. My Merc has heated seats with 3 steps on heating where you put them on max and they later go to the 2d and then to 1st.
To be honest traction control off road isn't a benefit. If you grew up or had the chance to ride exclusively off road bikes traction control can be a serious detriment in the wrong scenario. For the road definitely a benefit but off road not so much... for the cruise control the brake, clutch disengage function is totally the norm... one of the best ways for me to have a smooth disengage is to have my throttle held steady and tap my front brake before I let off the throttle... let's you come off the throttle nice and smooth or as abruptly as you want... great review and looking forward to your off road adventures.... currently own a BMW R1200RT and love it but want to get one of these for so many reasons... cheers 🍻

We have had cfmoto atv for years here in norway, have a local dealers 5 min from me. It seems mechanically reliable but my biggest turn off is that they seem to age very fast, screwheads etc gets rusty very fast.
The heated grips are probably monitored by the bikes electronics, to optimise available surplus power from the charging system / battery ...then drop to a comfort level to allow recuperation. Probably a great design / practicality feature i suppose ?
All cf motos sounds great stock....i am used to stock exhausts and i am.never in a hurry to buy after market exhausts..and "being heard" by others is not the first priority as a rider..it should be "being seen"
I’ll always be a Yamaha fan. But I respect CF moto as a brand. I mean when they started making engines for other brands those brands got more reliable, not less reliable. It’s not like a venom motorcycle or something. They’re putting in the work to build the brand. And I have to say. I don’t have an ADV and if I did it would likely be a something more off-road bias like a Yamaha Tenere 700 but this CF moto is a good looking bike, my main concern would be how it holds up once you start taking it off road and lay it down a few times. Does the protection work well, do the gadgets/tech start acting up?
At the time I purchased my latest bike, I knew nothing about the IBEX 800. Presently, we have no local dealers that sell this bike. I would have liked to test ride one. I ended up getting a KTM 890 Adventure and it is presently in the shop getting its break-in service done. I am happy with the bike, but not happy with the way KTM nickel and dimes one for the extras.....didn't realize that you have to buy extra hardware to even allow one to connect the bike to ones phone. Not getting that "extra"!! Just wish I had the opportunity to ride the IBEX before purchasing the KTM......could have saved some money....
About the good exhaust noise, China strictly bans aftermarket exhausts, even if the aftermarket exhaust is quieter. When you change your original exhaust, you will get caught and fined. So CFMoto just make their exhaust good enough to counteract this.
Wait so you're saying that the bike has a SIM with Internet access? How does it tell you its location or if it was moved if you are not at wifi or bluetooth range?
I’ve had an ADVentura 650 for 12 days and put 900 miles on it so far. Good chance I’ll upgrade to the 800 next year, but I’m new to adventuring and the 650 has been very forgiving for the new riding style. Plus it’s faster and more agile than my race specked 1998 1200s Sportster.
First time saw video where it sounds good. Been watching few videos on lineup not just this one. That is my complaint sound bad. Mechanical and not suprising since have made 4wheelers and side by sides for years, sounds like a atv.
If i get a brand new bike it will be this but i just bought my fjr1300 and its superb its a 2002 model but a new bike is a new bike specialy something like this
I was looking at picking up either a BMW F750gs or F900XR, but this thing makes too much sense. My only issue is I sat on it and I'm a bit too short for it. On my tippie-toes at 30" inseam. But this looks like a no-brainer
I can't wait to get myself a cfmoto.. Though I'm torn between getting the Ibex or saving some money and going with the adventura.. Either way I would definitely be down to go on a long ride with you once I got one.
One of these right now is for sale very very near to me at a dealership for like two grand off Canadian. It is a last year's model that didn't sell. I was set to buy a 2024 Honda transalp but with this Ibex being so near to me and being at least 2,000 Canadian off not including there's probably another $2,000 worth of equipment that is optional on the transalp like the engine guard and the engine protector frame heated hand grips etc. I'll be 40 percent highway 50% secondary 80kmph roads, maybe 10% gravel roads.. Which one do you recommend. Honda dealer is half an hour of heavy traffic to get to... cfmoto dealer is a cakewalk away !...please say ibex. Lol
Help me choose! Just need to know, how big are you? I am 6’2” and 265#. My KLR has served me well. I live in the TX Panhandle and the wind >20 MPH beats the hell out of me. I’m looking for a bike that will run over 65MPH into a 20MPH wind.
At 15:40 you're talking about the RPM and torque in different stages of the RPM. Funny enough it is way different with the restrictions we got in Europe. You say that the bike "dies off" at around 5500 RPM. For me, my bike does quite the opposite with the restrictions. It is very quick from 3.200 to 4.500 and then dies off and peaks again at about 6.400 rpm up to 9.500. Weird to drive imo but still quite enjoyable as other people would not expect it. Sadly this is only due to EU restrictions in exhaust fumes etc.
Cf in general is a great brand, I used to live in China an I tried many of the early versions oof the bikes they're selling here like the nk that one your review ing is called the mt and some others, and to be honest I would go for one of the cf line up before considering buying any other.
I've never had bike that would've had TC, but I sure would like to have it. Few times on rain almost trashed my zx9r and zzr1400. Needs very little oil on road to get into very scary situations 🙂
I'm starting to look into one of these or a vstrom because the mt09 isn't good for touring, 1400 mines in 2 days was rough. Still have the same opinion? Anyone to flash it and make the cruise limit higher than 80?
I have one and have a strange surge at deceleration and engine breaking... and I hate the gold wheels. Other than that I love it so far! As far as cruise control... I just open the throttle a tad bit like slight acceleration then flip the switch off. Otherwise the brake and clutch method are more disruptive if that makes sense.
a strange surge at deceleration and engine breaking, i have the same problem. Othervise motor is amazing . I take a motor back to the seller , they say its normal ...
theres a real good chance thats just the engine shutting off due to emission. I had a stryker and it would do the same thing. Off throttle bike bucks and enginge shuts off. On throttle engine is back on and it bucks you again
Mine does the surge occasionally too I've noticed. I have to decel and shift down very slowly I feel to avoid it doing it. If I shift down likea gear then one more real quick it seems to do it. So I have to just take my time tad more. Hopefully an update in future for this though.
@@bikerbeliever8169 I had to flash my ECU to resolve that problem. Its sadly an emissions thing with the Ride by wire system and can not be fixed other wise. Might be able to use a PC3 to help it tho
The inflation and high taxes the western economies are putting on us is an eye opener. Hence why they always say china has cheap labour, and not that they have less taxable manufacturing and have great set ups.
Hi mate, I was wondering... how do you find this bike in terms of fun in the twisties? Its the only thing left stopping me from buying one... other choice is a much dearer bmw R1200R.
How top heavy does it feel with the big tank up high like that? Does it feel about the same as an Africa twin standard since they are similar weight? Which one is quicker?
-MT-09 SP also can't deactivate by rolling the throttle forwards. I believe it has to do with the ride-by-wire systems they use for the throttle. When cruise control is active on my MT-09 SP, the throttle is in the fully CLOSED position. That may explain why you can't roll it forward to deactivate.- Edit: I was wrong, you can deactivate on the MT-09 SP by rolling the throttle forward
Those aluminum cases are way overpriced. I bought an aftermarket aluminum tail case for a fraction of the price and it works just fine and looks great.
can anyone tell me if there is a setting to get the low beams to come on,,or should should they come on automatically when you start it.. i just got mine today.. and i have no low beams .. does it need to go back to the dealer
As an established you Tuber, i think it only proper that you learn the correct way to dismount a motorbike from its centre stand. That intro looked very amateur imho ...sorry !
Dude, I like your channel and I do like the bike, but at least disclose you got the bike and all accessories for free. Withholding that info makes it seem shifty.
Now ride it as a daily motorcycle with traffic jam to see how crappy it is. Many complaints of it overheating, fuelling crappy in low speeds, quickshifter changing to limbo gears like Neutral between 4th and 5th(It happened to me a few times). It is not suitable for places where lane filtering and lane splitting are not allowed because of the Jerkyness. Go to a Japanese motorcycle like a v Strom and scrub your finger inside the exhaust and check how dirty it gets and then go to your almost brand new motorcycle and do the same test. I sold mine here in Australia for a personal reason and found out that it lost almost 50% of its value as soon as it left the dealer. The motorcycle is great if you want high speeds, long trips with comfort and more reliability than a KTM (unbelievable, but true). In Australia it is worth it for sure when compared to a KTM, because the cfmoto costs $14900 and a KTM 890 adventure is above $24500 new. Good luck with the new bike and I hope that when you decide to sell it, the members support you to sell it for a fair price.
This guy cannot be trusted he is a sell out, so many YTers have came out exposing Ruroc and admitting how bad their helmets are, but not Chase he prefers to risk his life for a bit of cash.
That is the second time this week that I have heard the complaint about the cruise not kicking off if you move the throttle. I don’t remember ever having a car that kicks the cruise off with throttle input, and I wouldn’t expect it on a bike. If I rest my hand on the throttle, I don’t want it kicking the cruise off. Sounds like a good system.

@@Im-a-Fool great I was going to test ride one tomorrow. Fkk that
@@jDot2414good lord, you’re not going to test drive one because of that?
Keep us posted on how the quality goes as it ages
For the heating, The smaller the resistance, the greater the current, and the cable heats up, the problem is that it can burn. A short pause is needed for this. My Merc has heated seats with 3 steps on heating where you put them on max and they later go to the 2d and then to 1st.
To be honest traction control off road isn't a benefit. If you grew up or had the chance to ride exclusively off road bikes traction control can be a serious detriment in the wrong scenario. For the road definitely a benefit but off road not so much... for the cruise control the brake, clutch disengage function is totally the norm... one of the best ways for me to have a smooth disengage is to have my throttle held steady and tap my front brake before I let off the throttle... let's you come off the throttle nice and smooth or as abruptly as you want... great review and looking forward to your off road adventures.... currently own a BMW R1200RT and love it but want to get one of these for so many reasons... cheers 🍻
Great review man, I have wached a tone of CFmoto Ibex800T(800MT) not one explains anything at all...every one can put data on, but u realy done actual review with usefull infos about important things, which u can be aware only if you buy this beauty. But if u don't like it, its too late now :)
Awesome video. Awesome trip. Awesome bike. Cfmoto for the win.
The app is cool so long as your insurance company can't get in. Thanks for this review, I'm getting hooked.......just not past the barb yet......yet.
Remapping for poor low speed fueling can be done by phone and needs a external preload adjuster for shock as C spanner problematic.
This should be my next upgrade, I have been cheking it out and I love your indepth review
cfmoto does a great job with the sound. seems like all its bikes have a nice sound, even with stock exhaust.
We would like to hear a 100 thousand miles review please !
OC: definitely want to see a video on just the app capabilities
More Papio am I right tho?
@@andyyougoonie never enough G'Papio
About the good exhaust noise, China strictly bans aftermarket exhausts, even if the aftermarket exhaust is quieter. When you change your original exhaust, you will get caught and fined. So CFMoto just make their exhaust good enough to counteract this.
Wait so you're saying that the bike has a SIM with Internet access? How does it tell you its location or if it was moved if you are not at wifi or bluetooth range?
Great video, what is your weight and size?
Currently a daily R.E. Himmy rider.Looking for more of longer traveling with light/medium off roading. This can be the ticket.
This is a fantastic upgrade from that.
The all-new 2023 exploration edition has the IMU TC, fully tested.
If i get a brand new bike it will be this but i just bought my fjr1300 and its superb its a 2002 model but a new bike is a new bike specialy something like this
Good review! I am being swayed! Looking forward to off road mods and test!
I was looking at picking up either a BMW F750gs or F900XR, but this thing makes too much sense. My only issue is I sat on it and I'm a bit too short for it. On my tippie-toes at 30" inseam. But this looks like a no-brainer
Did you try it with the seat in the lowest position . I think they have an adjustable seat, I've read somewhere
I can't wait to get myself a cfmoto.. Though I'm torn between getting the Ibex or saving some money and going with the adventura.. Either way I would definitely be down to go on a long ride with you once I got one.
I wish they put their 450 crossplane inline engine into a lightweight RALLY bike 😢
How much mpg is everyone getting on these bikes?
Let's see a new graphic kit or wrap. Im loving my ibex. Great content, sir.
It’s coming!
Very good review. Cheers!
How would you compare it with Tiger Rally Explorer? Is Triumph worth the money?
Cf in general is a great brand, I used to live in China an I tried many of the early versions oof the bikes they're selling here like the nk that one your review ing is called the mt and some others, and to be honest I would go for one of the cf line up before considering buying any other.
Chase, I see that you aren't updating the playlist of the MT
the magic word is *CROSSPLANE*
*aaand* you might want a set of *MOTOZ* rally adventure tires, they have several options
Please do a review on the cf moto 450ss. also great video man
I want to!
That bmw rider watching you at 5:44 😂
I've never had bike that would've had TC, but I sure would like to have it. Few times on rain almost trashed my zx9r and zzr1400. Needs very little oil on road to get into very scary situations 🙂
Im half considering the cfmoto cafe cuz goddamn you cant beat that price even though i would kill for a ducati cafe racer.
It's a great looking bike ❤👏👏👍
Want one so bad
Has anyone compared the IBEX against the Kawasaki versys650? I’m really interested in how it compares to the versys
Closing the throttle fully or changing gear also deactivate the cruise control
Sorry if this is a dumb question but doesn't it have a rain mode or something like that? Does that setting have some foem of traction control maybe?
I'm starting to look into one of these or a vstrom because the mt09 isn't good for touring, 1400 mines in 2 days was rough. Still have the same opinion? Anyone to flash it and make the cruise limit higher than 80?
Great video.
That's an emission thing. My XSR900 does the same.
Is it heavy to push?
The inflation and high taxes the western economies are putting on us is an eye opener.
Hence why they always say china has cheap labour, and not that they have less taxable manufacturing and have great set ups.
Is this really an adventure bike though? It’s a sport tourer in my view.
Same as a Vstrom basically. More tourer than adventure. None of these big bikes are great pure off-road adventure bikes. Too heavy, too bulky.
I'd buy it for sport/touring
Free bike!
Nice vid. You in Alpharetta?
Hi mate, I was wondering... how do you find this bike in terms of fun in the twisties? Its the only thing left stopping me from buying one... other choice is a much dearer bmw R1200R.
The australian review of this bike said it has 6 modes including ABS and TC off ?
Where is the muffler video I want to see it cuz I got one and I want to change mine
I heard it’s got a cel charger
How top heavy does it feel with the big tank up high like that? Does it feel about the same as an Africa twin standard since they are similar weight? Which one is quicker?
What did you use to get the calipers loosened to put the guards on?
-MT-09 SP also can't deactivate by rolling the throttle forwards. I believe it has to do with the ride-by-wire systems they use for the throttle. When cruise control is active on my MT-09 SP, the throttle is in the fully CLOSED position. That may explain why you can't roll it forward to deactivate.-
Edit: I was wrong, you can deactivate on the MT-09 SP by rolling the throttle forward
Not correct. I have a 2022 and you just roll it forward.
@@braaaaaaaaaaap Huh, I've tried it and it didn't work in the past. I guess I'll give it another try and edit my comment if this holds true.
Those aluminum cases are way overpriced. I bought an aftermarket aluminum tail case for a fraction of the price and it works just fine and looks great.
Everyone knows the gazelle > the ibex
Beat at my own game 😢
Hold on, I think the Tuareg hunt these animals.
can anyone tell me if there is a setting to get the low beams to come on,,or should should they come on automatically when you start it.. i just got mine today.. and i have no low beams .. does it need to go back to the dealer
dealer fix
Does the bike have reverse? Can it go on gravel roads? Does it take regular gas?
No.yes.yes.
Wow!!! I'm sad , all that without traction control. Deal breaker for me.
Does CFMOTO also sell black top aluminum case?
Yes it does. In Europe they are already launching with the black Explore Edition.
So many guards.
Glad it has no traction control. Lean sensitive ABS and ride modes killed it. Wont buy one now. More electronics to break. Junk.

This guy cannot be trusted he is a sell out, so many YTers have came out exposing Ruroc and admitting how bad their helmets are, but not Chase he prefers to risk his life for a bit of cash.
This bike screams Chinese with one look.
That’s cos it is
That is the second time this week that I have heard the complaint about the cruise not kicking off if you move the throttle. I don’t remember ever having a car that kicks the cruise off with throttle input, and I wouldn’t expect it on a bike. If I rest my hand on the throttle, I don’t want it kicking the cruise off. Sounds like a good system.
