Is there a video on installing a SMA 500 on Azure. Get Azure user authentication SSO and publishing SAAS links to the user portal? So, a user goes to a web portal and can select what they need to connect to? Also have option of VPN client to do the same.
We are testing a 500V for a large org and I'm trying to figure out if you can use bookmarks to connect to an open session. Such as for End User Support. Do you know if there's a way to do that? We currently use Splashtop through Datto RMM but the goal of this is to allow internal power users to access certain machines and work with the user.
So you want a user to connect SMA and then your IT support to remote control that remote user to perform support tasks for that remote user? If so, yes there is a separate SKU for that. Ask your reseller.
@@JeanPierTalbot I want the IT team to be able to connect to devices. I think I did find a decent workaround. Installing tightvnc silently on workstations and connecting over it will allow me to connect to an existing session.
Hi Sir Jean, Good Day Sir. First of all thanks again for your great videos. Can you also Sir create a video doing this kind of configuration in SMA 8200v or 1000 series? Thank you so much Sir Jean. Have a nice and safe day. Regards, Dan
Good one. Probably with the native RDP client. Maybe not with the web client. Email me (jptalbot at sonicwall.com) I’ll put you in touch with the local team in your territory
Hi Sir Jean,in Good Day. Can I ask a question here? It just happened lately that after replacing a old laptop by windows 10 with version 21h1, it now can't access the resources of the SMA. The windows 10 pc can access the web portal and can access using their credential. No changes happened in SMA configuration, same account same confiuration. This only happen after changing laptop into windows 10 version 21h1. Had you experienced or do know something with this case? Thank you so much in advance Sir Jean. Your channel is really a big help for me and for the others. Thank you and will wait on your response.
Thanks for the good feedback on the videos. I don’t know about this one. Best is to contact SonicWall tech support. Most of the time they pick call live without wait time. + SMA has its dedicated support queue and they are great!
The SMA 1000 has more advanced features compared to the sma100 series. Which explain why the UI is different. If the look is “SO different” it might be because you run an old firmware on your 8200v
Thanks. Really great video - very useful!

Very good , Man tks for shared information
Great looking boy! What do you do if you dont use active directory for a small office?
Thanks!
I would suggest creating local users on the SMA then.
Jean-Pier,
When adding a Domain, the user define, doesn't provide a Permissions needed for this? Either does documentation?
and Offloading App (Portal)?

Very informative. Thanks for making the video. SMA 500v can only be used with ESXi or can also be used with Hyper-V?
Thanks!
Hyper-V too.

is the setup/functionality similar on the SMA 210
Yes. All sma in the 100 series have the same features.
Sma 1000 series have different (more)
Features :-)
Excelent soluction, i need of more information for customization virtual office.
Agreed, this video is intended to be a product overview. i'm considering doing more technically detailed videos.
We have a SMA 8200vm...how do access your Firewall?
Hi Don,
SMA and firewall are 2 different products.
If this is clientless, what do you call the Net Extender client you have to download to use it??
NetExtender is a vpn client.
You can also user the HTML5 web interface of the SMA to access ressources without a vpn client
can you make a video on SMA firmware upgrade?
can you give a demo on the SMA6210 ?
ill be happy to help. just send me an email (look at the latest video I posted, my email is on my screen)
With RDP, can it handle dual monitors?

Why is this SO different then the 8200v? the 8200v doesn't even seem like a SonicWall product. This is so much simpler.
