    The reason why Giannis has stayed healthy all this time, is because he always has a bigman on the floor with him to help him with the heavy work. Lakers is overworking AD where he is their prime defender, rebounder and they still expect him to score at a high level.

    • @Eastra3
      @Eastra3 3 дні тому +22

      💯AD is the only superstar that gets forced to play a certain way, like he's a slave. He's like, "please get me a center! I beg you!" Lakers are like, "Shut up peasant! Get back to work!"

    This team is not built to survive without AD. Bron yes, AD no. Without AD, the Lakers are the Wizards or the Hornets. AD and the entire fan base have been begging the front office to get another center. Their failure to act on this one issue may have doomed the season.

      Don't agree. With LeBron after the 1 week break when he was fresh he was making a big impact. But now he's got to dig deep because you can tell from the last two games he's either re aggravated the foot, or he's just getting tired and worn down and needs a couple of games to recover. too bad he can't get them with ad out which really worries me that we will see a really tired terrible lebron or a injured and out for a month lebron.

    • @Moxiie-r1q
      @Moxiie-r1q 3 дні тому

      @motorsportsvault8484 Reeves takes a lot off of Lebron offensively if you've been watching the games since D Lo got traded they have Reaves be the primary ball handler in the first half. It gives Lebron more energy for 2nd half. Defensively they got DFS Rui and now Vando to help before Vando it was Cam. Who does AD have to help him? Jackson Hayes only plays when he sits. Even the one team that has kept us from winning again has an MVP center. It's obvious what we need!

    • @Eastra3
      @Eastra3 3 дні тому

      @@wills.9422 After we traded D'lo, we got worse in the half court. We used to employ a lot of line-ups with 2 of any combination of LBJ, AR, and D'lo. Now, minus D'lo, and without any real replacement, AR and LBJ are the only facilitators, and so most of our line-ups after the first 8 minutes and in the closing minutes, have only 1 playmaker. So yeah, a center isn't our only need, but it is the biggest issue, specifically if we don't want to be a first round exit by Denver again. Remember that rebounding also can help your offense, especially offensive rebounding. We need to address both issues, but if we ignore the center need for a 3rd year in a row, I will laugh as we lose to Denver again. AD will probably request a trade if that happens lol.

    I knew it was gonna be serious enough that he'd miss atleast some time. If its only a week and 3 games missed that's best case. Gotta hope this is something that doesn't cause him to now be out longer than a week.
    Teams gotta step up. This wizards game is very important. Have to win it. If we lose that man we're probably definitely gonna drop vs knicks and clippers without AD so we'd be looking at potentially just 4 games over 500 then if we lose next 3. We take care of business vs Washington and then even if we lose vs knicks and clippers we'd be 6 games over 500. If Lakers are serious about trying to remain high in standings there gonna have to do whatever it takes to beat Washington and to hang on while AD is out and potentially have to try to win some of these games without AD longer than a week.
    As for Christian Wood I'm sorry but it's absolutely pathetic that he's still out.

    Comparing the 2020 build and the current roster, there is one more move the Lakers need to consider and make - at center or at a facilitator point guard position. The Lakers are still short on the center, and possibly at the point guard position. DFS covers Danny Green's role well with defense and 3 pt shooting albeit not as many 3 pointers as Green. Vando covers Caruso's defensive role. At the Center position the Lakers should go for it and trade no more than one first round pick for Myles Turner who I think will be fired up. During the championship run, Vogl wasn't a guards coach like JJ is but Rondo brought in playoff Rondo. Currently, you have JJ as coach which may make up for whatever Rondo brought otherwise, the Lakers should trade for Fox if there is no confidence in AR who does have some experience in the 2023 conference finals run. In that 2023 run, Malik Beasely had Danny Green's role short of Green's defense. It's good that the Lakers never traded for Buddy Hield. If Rob didn't break up the 2020 team, the Lakers would had repeated easily defeating the Suns and the Bucks. Too bad. Rob is a players agent, does anything players ask, and crunches numbers well but not a highly experienced GM. If he is to stay longer as a GM, he needs to be stay his ground and leave well enough alone.

If he misses 3 weeks and you go .500 you’re gonna slip to 7 or 8 out west . And then you’ll literally have to play .750 basketball the rest of the way if you wanted to be a 5th seed , that’s unlikely . If you think you can with the west as a 6,7 or 8th seed , you’re insane . We got lucky to be the 5th seed cause teams like Dallas were hurt . If ad is out 3 weeks the real chance to be a contender this season is over
