In the middle of doing my staircase. Laurie had a little surgery on her foot so I made her get well cake and some soup dying to know how the cake was. She’s going to eat it tonight .

Apple, fritter cake,
Brown Sugar/Cinnamon Mixture
* ⅓ cup light brown sugar
* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Apple Bread Loaf Recipe
* ½ cup butter softened
* ⅔ cup granulated sugar
* 2 eggs room temperature
* 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
* 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
* 1 ¾ teaspoons baking powder
* ½ cup milk or almond milk room temp I used a quarter cup of Greek yoghurt
Chopped Apple Mixture
* 2 large apples like Granny Smith, peeled and chopped small, but not fine.
* 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
* 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Old-Fashioned Creme Glaze
* ½ cup powdered sugar
* 1-3tablespoons of milk or cream depending on thickness of glaze wanted.
* I used to heaping tablespoon of sour cream as I didn’t have milk. The glaze was beautiful
* For more apple fritter style like the apple fritter donut- use more milk for a thinner glaze that you can pour over the whole loaf
* Do a couple layers with the apples too, and the cinnamon sugar I baked at 3:50 for 50 minutes

That apple cake looks delicious.Yogurt is a great substitute for milk.I have even just used water. Lol. I can only imagine how wonderful it smells.I'm sure Lori will enjoy a slice with a cup of coffee. I know I sure would. Have a wonderful day🧡

Monty is right! You’re a special person. I say this because you remind me of the old country way of things. I miss that! Versed in many skills and Talents! Where I grew up in out skirts of Chicago, Melrose Park area with all the different cultures. Germans, Italians, Polish, Spanish, every woman knew how to cook, bake, sew, plant, garden, and so on! I got the best education from them & school! They taught us electrical, mechanics, woodshop, banking! We worked & hustled 12-16hrs a day. We started work at very young age and still went to school. Everyone is gone now. So It’s a RARE commodity today! So I feel at home when I see your notifications! Thank you 🙏🌺💗

I've been busy washing linens, switching out summer and winter clothes (although it's still warm here). Doing a little fall decorating. My mother's health is declining so I've been spending more time with her (she's 90). The rest of the work can wait! But I do love Fall!
Yeah, definitely keeps us busy and it’s been nice here so it is hard to switch it out and I wish you the best with your mother but at 90 I guess she’s had a nice full life💝💝💝

Thank you so much!! I like pumpkin I don’t love it, but I like it yet. I think I like the spices more of it than I like the actual pumpkin I love pumpkin soup, squash, soup, or carrot soup but pumpkin pie I can take it or leave it probably for Thanksgiving, though for everybody.

I use shaper plus Sabastian too, Thats all it costs in Canada for it? its like 34 bucks a can here, it really is the best on the market unless you want a super duper hold then I use a little bit of Paul Mitchel freeze shine, but that is hard to shampoo out. Looks really nice out it is here too, been wanting to do my car! I bought a hand held vac for the occasion. Probably next week I will, my back seat is full for Good will so gotta get that in before. Your stores are stocked really full, ours are not that full.

So true! It never ends does it oh well I guess we just like things a certain way too I see lots of people that don’t seem to have the energy to do what I do or don’t wish to, but I like things to be pretty clean and pretty put away and pretty princess. I guess you’d say lol
I love watching your channel you and I share the same get up and go energy!! I have been bringing in my house plants for winter and cleaning up outside as I go. I too change all of my house plant dirt before bringing everyone back inside. It's a lot of work but it's worth not getting any little friends inside for winter!!

I went to get a haircut and then the grocery store and bought two packages of non-skid socks on sale for my winter indoor socks. I had a recent hospital stay so Laurie has my compassion, that cake looks wonderful.😂
Oh thanks very much. Laurie is fine. She was home within hours of her surgery was day surgery and she laid up for a couple days and she’s out running around again. She’s all good.
