Hey! 1) You and your company didn't have to do this to save us money- Thank You. 2) I'm a videographer & this video was done well. Informative & entertaining. Good stuff & kudos to whoever produced it.
I just found out my mom has never changed the air filter in her A/C in almost 30 years. Figured I'd see if I could help her stay cool over there without spending any money. This video answered pretty much every question I had and this dude was unexpectedly hilarious. Great job with this video.
We bought a house in Boston with an in-wall air conditioner from [checks label] the industrial revolution. I came across your video when googling... quite frankly just what does one do to maintain air conditioners, and how to quiet them. (It’s louder than our lawn mower. Seriously, our roommate thought it was going to explode when we first turned it on. I’m not convinced she’s wrong.). We tried some of the things you recommended, but it also gave us the confidence to order a replacement that we’ll try installing later this week.
Really appreciate your effort in making this video. Wish I had watched it a couple of days ago before attempting to clean the inside of my outdoor unit. All of a sudden there's no cold air and the copper supply line isn't cold. Thinking I somehow created a leak. Thanks again. If I were in your market I'd definitely be giving you guys a call.
Excellent video brother! Funny, informative and easy to watch over and over. And really good camera presence too. You must have practiced a lot! I'm currently working on my camera presence AND... it's awful! Hence me having posted NONE of my (encyclopedic) content. I aspire to make great videos like you. Oh one more thing...I wasn't offended one bit by your business plug. You deserve good fortune my man! Okay. I'm gonna watch this a couple more times before venturing over to the outdoor unit. Wish me luck, patience and more luck! God bless!
You should just start posting. You will get better and more comfortable the more you do them. I still get nervous but I can tell a difference in how I felt doing the first video and the ones I make now. Best of luck my friend.
Maybe someday ;) thanks so much for watching. BTW, HVAC guys bad mouth each other out here too...we could use more positivity in the world -- build each other up instead of trying to discredit. Makes the industry look bad.
How do we clean the condenser unit properly when there is nowhere to connect a hose? This is the case at the building where our non-profit is renting space -- six outdoor units, all long overdue for service.
I've been cleaning (rinsing) off the compressor, diy, after watching a/c tech service the central a/c years ago.. Question: do I need to remove the top grate to clean the bottom tray? It has some dirt, dust cobwebs, debris from the rinsing. Or is it even necessary, as its NOT a lot. Thk u. Ur help/video is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for the video. I have a neighbor arguing with me on the Nextdoor app that it isn't required to do any yearly maintenance checks. I told him in my experience without maintenance the units I've heard will need replaced every 2-5 years. He told me it was 15 years for his current HVAC and 16 years for his previous unit with NO Yearly maintenance. That's astounding that an HVAC can run so long... Or.... he's lying...... Opinions/ comments??
I believe he got that much life out of the system without maintaining it but i also thing if we would have maintained it, he could have gotten 20+ years out of the units. It's kind og like an oil change, if you skip them, it doesn't stop working immediately but there are consequences ... we just don't get to choose the consequences. I wouldn't try to change his mind. Sounds like his mind is made up. You'll just have to decide if it makes sense for you to maintain yours. Best of luck.
I learned more information about air conditioning maintenance.. After watching this video...... Can you explain what are problems comes in kitchen exhaust system..
You could definitely take that as a preventative measure if you are comfortable doing that and you remember every 5 years. This was meant to go over the minimum to do at least once a year.
You could use vinegar if you want. The important think is that it is draining. The bleach or vinegar is more to help if there is an odor. Thanks for the questions.

Thanks for the video =)
How about using the correct size filter. You should have put in a 4 inch thick media filter.
Hi, Thank you. I really liked your video. It has fed me information regarding air conditioning maintenance. Thank you.
Glad you liked it.
Man I hope this helps, my AC unit breaks every year oh so and it’s really costly for my mom:(

Also change your capacitor and contactor every 5 years. They wear out and it costs abut 20 bucks for the two on amazon.
You could definitely take that as a preventative measure if you are comfortable doing that and you remember every 5 years. This was meant to go over the minimum to do at least once a year.
My cap lasted 5 years 3 mo, recently I change it again lasted 5 years and 6 month, all with 0 value capacitance, bulging.
I have two geothermal units and my well doesn’t shutoff when the fan turns off when temperature is desired. Is there something I can do?
Y’all want to come to Texas lol!
Thanks 😁👍
no problem
What can fix a noisy-sounding indoor air-con caused by a broken fan roller tube blade inside which I have for my 11 year old Daikin Air-Con?
What about vinegar down the pipe?
You could use vinegar if you want. The important think is that it is draining. The bleach or vinegar is more to help if there is an odor. Thanks for the questions.
Delta T?
This is a marketing win.
