I have been saying this since KD came to the Bay. There were at least 50 other players in the league at that time that could have joined the Warriors...and they still win a championship. It wasn't KD...it was the Warriors . They needed one guy to plug in . KD did a great job... but probably 75 other guys would have also..

No the Suns was AWFUL. They played awful 3 games n bad last 3 min in game 4. They were unwatchable-all over the place-TW was committed n balled out-but the suns didn’t put up a fight for game 1-3.

I like KD but everyone states that KD was the best player on GS in those finals. But i challenge anyone to compare Currys finals averages to KDs and tell me how much better KD was than Steph. You definitely make a case that curry should been finals MVP in 2018 finals. He outplayed KD 3 out of the 4 games. Curry struggle in game 3, which is the game kd scored 43 points, so they gave the mvp to him. Curry definitely deserved it

KD is definitely a legendary scorer and that's about it..He is one dimesional. His overall game was exposed when he was with he Nets..He tried to emulate Lebron's game against the Celtics in the playoffs with him running the offense..He was terrible with the turnovers and Tatum destroyed him offensively.

I now confirm that most analysts are afraid to criticize KD, soft take from Shady and JOY, brilliant and realistic takes from ACHO and SLICK.
The best analogy is the 2015-16 Warriors with Harrison Barnes was like a supercar running on regular gas. Yes, the car still can perform better than most cars, but it's going to sputter and have the occasional warning light come on.
The 2017-19 Warriors with Durant was the equivalent of adding premium gas to that supercar, where it outruns everything on the road by barely touching the accelerator.
Golden State went 140-24 in the regular season over a two-year span before Kevin Durant joined them. Won one title and barely lost a second title in a historic upset. Had three players on the 2016 All-NBA team, including a two-time MVP.
So of course, upgrading from an inconsistent Barnes to one of the top five players in the NBA made that team unbeatable. They were almost unbeatable WITH Barnes.
Love the booster analogy but disagree with the Kawhi on Toronto take. Toronto had failed repeatedly in the East playoffs before Kawhi, he was absolutely a massive force multiplier throughout the 2019 playoffs.
Acho operates in another realm compared to the other panelists. He needs his own space.

To answer the question, the sweep is on KD. Acho is right. The team was poorly constructed but he is too great of a player to not get one win.

Kevin Durant is overhyped and under criticized a lot of times, but Kevin Durant is better than Harrison Barnes stop it. The Warriors had Harrison Barnes when the "73-9 regular season Warriors" lost 9 games in the playoffs in the same playoffs and lost to the Cavaliers that same season. Then they cried and recruited Kevin Durant to overcome the Cavaliers to win the next 2 championship. Even the 2015 Warriors went 6 in the finals with LeBron's Cavaliers without Kyrie and Kevin Love for all but 1 game. So they were not that great.
I disagree with Acho. KD made the Warriors better. They blew a 3-1 lead to the Cavs, came back and beat them 4-1 and 4-0.
