As a suns fan, I thought we’d handle the wolves in 6 games or less. Most Suns fans were overlooking them thinking they would be a cakewalk, then the playoffs started and the wolves played the most dominant form of bully ball I have ever seen. I’ve been a suns fan my whole life and have watched a lot of playoff series dating back to the Steve Nash years, and I’ve never watched a series where the suns were flat out dominated in every game like that from wire to wire. And the last time the suns were swept was the same year the Wolves franchise started (1989)

Suns need defense they traded it all over the last two years. Ayton, Bridges, Crowder...
Depth and defense is going to be way more important than a true PG which is what everyone is saying they need but in reality it's much bigger than that.

That’s because they’re trying to continue to advance the narrative that the game is predominantly being taken over by foreigners. It has everything to do with American players aren’t great anymore that it’s a euro league now. It’s the globalization of the NBA so paid hacks like Colin and Rick are gonna ignore how great ANT is and has been this year and in the playoffs. It doesn’t fit their narrative.

Ric Bucher and Colin were both absolutely correct in predicting that Denver will have a stronger sense of urgency and will not come out as slowly as they did in the last 4 games. Denver still looked off in this game 5, but they still took it 4-1.
That 2021 phx finals team had so many great pieces at the time around Booker and CP3- ayton, bridges, crowder, Torrey Craig, Payne.
Those other pieces matter. These young guns are coming so it’s gonna be fascinating to see what phx does this offseason 👀

The Thunder should trade some of their million first round draft picks to team Devin Booker up with Shai Alexander and Chet Holmgren. They would dominate the league for years to come. What about LeBron going to Suns for Booker. Booker is a better compliment to AD. Meanwhile in PHX LeBron becomes the leader, the steadying presence and KD can hoop and close out games. With LeBron the facilitating guy both Beal and KD get better easier shots. Not sure about extras though draft picks etc but that idea works.
Reality is none of these old guys are winning any more although they might get deeper into the tourney.
