The only hero of my youth who hasn't disappointed me. Thank you for your words, and for being a rock in these turbulent times.

I love sly. He really has incredible insight these days on life and I’m glad he’s sharing his thoughts.

Right on brother! Yeah it takes more effort to go uphill than downhill. Grandfathers old saying. Lot of those old sayings from those that lived through the depression of the 20s/30s.

His words of wisdom are in all of his movies. They all have a theme of the underdog. Who rises against all odds. He started off as a nobody with a turn down for a movie role. But he kept pushing buttons and won an opportunity to show his talents in other areas and then stood for what he believed In. Himself and not give in on a cheap offer for a script he believed he would be a good fit to star in. Even though he was broke enough to have to sell his dog he stayed true to himself in an industry that many have sold their souls for. When executives realized he would not give in they gave in to a nobody that no one knew. 7 movies later Rockie goes down in history as one of the best movie franchises in history. Then you have the Rambo franchise and many other good movies. If he had given in to the pressure we would all have been deprived by his wisdom he shares in his motivational speeches and quotes. A man of value and morals in a world that lacks those qualities!

It’s interesting when these guys are younger they are too cool for school and wont interact at all. Then when they are near the end they have all this “wisdom” they wanna share.

Getting motivational advice about struggling to achieve your goals from someone who has been married 3 times is very rich.

You're right...he is a total loser with no wisdom worth sharing. Thanks for the warning.
