Thank you 😃♥️and may I add.... I LOVEEEEE you self talk and bantering with yourself. You are my soul-twin. Cracking me up watching ,while I take notes and meal prep. People have no idea how much work it takes. Loving this ✊🏿
Love love this. I see it’s 3 years old but I’ve just stumbled onto your excellent work. So informative and definitely educational. Some of the gear from back then is now discontinued. I’ll look at your newer videos to see what you’re using now. Thank you!
everything about this video is so damn relatable... especially the "f*ck yeah i nailed that shot"...."blah blah nmeh blehhh"... dropping and hitting things by accident. Great video man!
Thank you for showing your process and even include your flaws etc, didn't know that even people who looks so professional on you tube do make mistakes and it does take so much effort and practice to get it all perfect in the end.
Thanks Philip! You made me realize that I've been doing all my cooking videos too bad and you gave me the best tip on how I can improve it. I may not have the best equipment as you do but I will do it to the best of my abilities. Galing!
Aloha! Thank you for watching! Im super happy to help. You totally dont need all this fancy stuff to make great looking videos. Here is a link to a series I made this month about shooting and editing cooking content with just your phone! ua-cam.com/play/PLd2V-kDOtko7LO9hxh69eSyPNPSvgnPk9.html
Excellent job brother. I just started a month ago and realize there is alot that goes into making great looking cooking videos. Im gonna keep at it and keep improving. Thank you very much for the video
Thanks Philip! This was so well made and all your tips make sense! 😊 I'm constantly looking to get better at this as well and I find myself continuously making tweaks in every single new video; it's always inspiring to see how others do theirs. The amount of effort/work you put into yours just blows me away!! Keep it up! 👍
Nice Video! I will do more research and try to implement some of your techniques in my videos! Thank you for the inspiration and all those useful information!
I'm so glad I found you on here, Philip. This has been so helpful for my own content and now I have enough cameras to get some really cool shots and angles.
This was great to see. I’m moving my focus to UA-cam and hearing your process gives me a lot on of insight into how I should plan and execute. Thank you for sharing this!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
This video is dope! I suspected filming yourself doing a cooking show would be challenging, but I had no idea how arduous the whole process was! Thank you for sharing.
Daym your videos look so crisp and amazing. I'd love to see a video on your scripting process, I need tips. Also, I can't wait for the editing one. Great stuff man.
appreciate and enjoyed the whole process on how u do ur cooking vlog and selflessly shared ur expertise to us non-pro! never easy making one but with the tips and guides coming from a genuine people like u, the ride will def going to be less scary...stay safe and blessed!💖🥰
I love the idea of doing all the cooking, B-roll and stuff then recording the audio/facetime. It makes so much sense!! For other crafters, would you recommend the same technique?? for example, I want to do quilting videos and reduce the amount of movement, equipment swap and sound/lighting inconsistencies as much as possible!! What other suggestions might you have to flare my 3 x 4 cut, sew, and ironing space? Thank you again for sharing your experiences!!!
Just want to say the way you do A-roll and B-roll is so simple! My struggles making content is always the voiceover. Im going to try your way going forward! Thank you. You have a new sub!
I think I might have watched this video a while ago, and I'm back to watch again! I appreciate the hard work you put into showing us the behind the scenes of your creative process - thank you!! That dropped stock clip at the beginning actually made me audibly gasp! Lol I've definitely done similar. I thought I was the only one who struggled with filming while cooking, so thank you for being candid with us.
I came across this video of yours and absolutely loved it. Your way of explaining every single thing in detail is just amazing. Thank you so much for taking out time and making whole a lot of effort to share your tips and tricks to shoot cooking video.
This is SO helpful! It was comforting to see you get tongue-tied while reading your script lol. I get a little frustrated every time that happens to me, but I guess it’s ok because it happens to everyone! Thanks for the great content!
Pastry & Soul Hahahah I mess up so much! I’m still not really comfortable with talking on camera. I can’t even have my girl in the room when I’m filming. Sometimes people walk by my kitchen window at my apartment and I get hella insecure too. I gotta wait a min till they are gone before I try again. I guess with time it gets a bit easier. What’s weird is it was easier for me to film this behind the scenes then it was to do the actual video.
Philip Lemoine Well you still did an awesome job with both videos! It was really cool to see the final project of the chicken adobo recipe while knowing how it was created. It gave me some great ideas on what to study and how to improve my videos.
This was AWESOME!! New follower here and I’m glad I did. It’s crazy how good of quality your videos are even not in some elaborate kitchen setup. You’re killing it, man, keep it up!!
Love your videos on how to start a cooking channel. Please continue to post based on your experience, your mistakes and what you’ll do differently. Thank you! 👍
My son wanted me to play the intro with the pizza popping out of the toaster a total of 15 times and laughs hysterically each time the pizza lands on the plate.
Unbelievable good. Man, this helps me so much and it really shows how much work this whole process is. Thank you so much for all the effort you put into the videos. Much appreciate the quality and secrets you reveal. 👍🏻
Thank you for creating this! Now I am very hungry though... Hungry to eat and start my channel! I am super interested in the script and how you create that, how consistent are they and in what ways other than recipes do they differ?
So glad to have found your channel! I'm in the process of starting my own food blog and your page has been one of the few that thoroughly walks through the process of filming content for food. New subbie, appreciate you man!
Philip!! What an awesome video. This gives me a lot of insight on how to better my content. I love how you think everything out before doing . I usually film and plan on the fly, which obviously is a rookie mistake ( I am a rookie lol ) I would love to see your process for planning and scripts. Keep up the amazing work!
Beer, Bros and Bon Appetit awesome! Dude I LOVE your channel name ahaha. I’m happy to hear this helped! I’ll start writing my planning process and scripts soon!
Thanks so much for sharing these tips. Super helpful! Good to see that I’m doing some of the things you do (like prepping ingredients, having a script). One of the key things I’ve learnt from you is to switch up angles (a pain, but yes, makes videos so much more engaging)
Bro, just found your channel and am so glad I did. This is exactly what I was looking for. Watched your 5 video series and it is really helpful. Great work man!!
Thank you for your video, was really great to learn without all that boring cliché. Easy to understand and nice concept. And congratulation for sharing your food with us. Beijo e obrigada in Portuguese.
I'll be starting my channel soon... something I've been sitting on for a few years, but haven't had the courage to begin filming. My background is in photography, and while it was at the professional level, film is a whole new ballgame, and I'm really lacking equipment. Your videos, including your five-part series, have been super helpful in getting me started. I'll be joining your FB group soon if I haven't already. Thank you!,
Here is the latest video after following some your tips. Thank you. Any tips on what I can do to improve. Filmed on a phone with basic lights ua-cam.com/video/BItym6lwF8M/v-deo.html
Can you give tips on how ppl that have less equipement can shoot good looking videos? I only have an iphone 11, which has a pretty good camera. and I also have box lights. Would love to see tips on how to get good shoots with various tripods. Also I would love to see editing tips. It seems like you zoom in and out on various clips which seems to be done from editing, not the camera zooming in. Pleas give tips if you have time! I am trying to grow my cooking channel
Well, I... was going to just point a couple cameras in my kitchen and shoot cooking videos. Hard stop. You put a LOT of effort in to your vids. And I appreciate you walking through the process.
I've just started out a couple of months ago and I've been changing the style of my videos trying to find a style i like enjoy and is helpful and this has given me some great tips... Thanks Philip
Fantastic video. How you managed to make the video and do the behind the scenes at the same time without getting totally mixed up is beyond me! Easily the best BTS video for cooking out there.
Thank you for shooting this video. It's so relatable when we have to repeat the sentences to get a perfect one. I have learnt a lot from this. Will try the different angles for different ingredients when shooting. I am starting a new channel called "Cook with Antoniette Tee"
I'm a new subbie. Thanks for the great content. I wanna start cooking videos but one thing I worry about is pre-production & planning. I'd really appreciate videos on how you plan & script videos. Thank you!
