I was affraid that will happen. Like the miss dior blooming bouquet it is such a lovely fragrance but lasting power is so weak....great review Soki!
Francis Kurkdijan has been appointed as Dior’s new perfume creation director last October. Rose Essence is the last perfume created by its former resident perfumer Francois Demachy and it was targeted for the Middle Eastern market. I look forward to Kurkdijan’s upcoming releases with Dior! 😊

Oh no!!!! They are totally abandoning their signature to cater a market that will never appreciate Miss Dior …. Oh Soki this is heart breaking isn’t it??? I’m seriously disappointed ….. so many other brands catering to that unisex “oud-y” kinda vibe that’s so popular RN but this also will pass …. Miss Dior’s signature scents although always evolving still stay true to the delicate rose vibe that is so very soft and feminine…. This is not gonna end well although I love MFK fragrances Miss Dior does NOT need another face lift, body lift and any kinda lift but let’s leave her alone 😩😩😩 Chanel got that right with Chanel #5 even though I have always hated that fragrance they stayed true to it’s origins …. They just created more modern feminine scents like the Chance collection to target millennials …. What is Dior thinking?🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

Rose and Roses smells quite fabricated to me. The only one I like from Dior is, Miss Dior Originale

I have to agree that 🌹 Rose and Roses smells lovely on me and I actually find it quite strong and long lasting. I have found it to also have a good projection, as I have received several compliments when wearing it.
Speaking of not minding the price, if you like Rose n Roses, a much better alternative is La Colle Noire, from the Dior private line. It resembles Rose n Roses so much, but it’s much better blended and made with higher quality ingredients.
I’m so excited for your first fragrance because my favorite was also Miss Dior Cherie 2005. I also like the Eden perfumes dupe but am so happy to support your efforts to reimagine that fragrance in your own way.

Miss Dior Cherie was epic 🍓🍿. Dior has such a beautiful selection of fragrances . I love Dior Addict and went through a brief love affair with a few others but I always come back to Dior Poison. Thank you for this in depth review . Love your channel.
Rose N' Roses is very feminine, i adore this perfume, that's why i had to buy the biggest bottle (150 ml).
I bought the 100ml bottle of Rose n' Roses and it is hands down my favourite perfume from the silver bow collection from Dior. I can't stop using it. Made a small dent in it, that the perfume water is almost at the level of the dent of glass where the sticker is.
I love oriental, smoky, woody perfumes so this sounds really nice. But seeing how expensive Dior is and if it's not good for lasting I probably wouldn't want it. How was it in terms of lasting? I know the previous ones were weak so was curious if this was the same
I love your honesty. Some reviewers seem to be afraid to potentially offend a big brand but I know if you’ll like it, so will I.
I care about lasting power and find your reviews to be accurate every time! Lovely bottle but I tend to agree with your comments on Dior. I love the old brand image and packaging but the lasting power of more recent reproductions of classic scents have left me disappointed

Your reaction “I’m in a state of shock…” lol Soki 😂 gotta love you for that! I’m also a bit confused by the Miss Dior Rose Essence. I expected a very sweet, honey, soft and gentle Centifolia rose fragrance from it. And like you, I’m very surprised and also 100% agree it’s leaning quite unisex and is quite woody, minty, vetiver and patchouli heavy in the base. I mean, it’s a nice scent. Interesting enough, still feminine but also bold and strong (which is in line of current trend and feminine fragrances being a bit more “tough” as if a statement that we are women and we are strong (not just a wallflower). So the scent is nice however I wouldn’t necessarily call it Miss Dior. It’s much too unisex in fragrance to be a miss Dior. Lol But it’s a nice scent. Men could also wear it and pull it off quite nicely. Women that like a bit more masculine scents will enjoy this. I like it but don’t love it. Waiting for Chanel Les Eaux Paris-Paris to arrive and hoping it will be softer and more feminine. Love your quick impression and unboxing. Totally 100% agree with your reaction. Same exact reaction here. ☺️

@@SokiLondon I tried it again this morning, thinking maybe my nose or chemistry was off the other day. Nope. Pretty feminine at the beginning but dries down masculine and very very dry (not juicy or creamy dry down) very dry combination of patchouli, vetiver and guaiac wood. Such very dry drydown even irritates my throat strangely. I found similar “dry” drydown in J’adore Infinissime as well. But still testing that one.
On the other hand, I just received my Chanel Paris-Paris and “OH MY GOD” I got blown away from the first whiff. This is what a rose based perfume should smell like! Chanel definitely wins in my book over Dior, this time around. I’m still waiting for Paris-Paris to develop to experience its full aroma from start to dry down. But so far it’s is instant LOVE! Highly recommend you sample it, Soki, if you haven’t already. 😘

Roses N Roses lasts all day on me and I can still smell it after 8 hours
Lucky duck. Me it lasts around 4 hours maximum I would say. I can't stop using it because I love it so much.
How many sprays do you apply on you please ?

This bottle SOUNDS like a Chanel bottle. Thinner glass than the usual Miss Dior bottles.

Idk but It seems like these woody, oudy perfumes are so popular now, maybe I'm wrong. I was thinking that maybe they are going in this direction becsuse of that. But they are going to lose some their old fans that love the beautiful feminine rose...

I trust your opinion so much, but I love Rose nRoses, it stays, luckily, very long on my skin, other fragances don't due to medical induced hormonal changes in my body. I would habe bought the Essence without testing but I won't now. Thank you, I like your videos very much!

It sounds like there´s no Miss Dior DNA left. I was hoping with Francis Kurkdijan as the new creative director they would rescue the agonizing Miss Dior line, apparently they just finished it, this is very disappointing.
Sounds like you weren't a fan of the new Dior maybe they need to stop doing so many flankers
or just better flankers!

I really dislike the oud-y fragrances, personally they give me a headache. So hard pass for me. I'm still annoyed at Dior for reformulating Miss Dior last year.

The other content creators I value have moved away from the term, and I think that makes more sense as amber is an actual fragrance note... is it a British thing? Thanks!

I personally love ROSE N' ROSES and it smells really good on my skin along with the fact that the note combination is very interesting, but I understand you completely because a perfume is all about how it reacts with your skin. Some perfumes that I tried on were disgusting on my skin, but smelt amazing from the bottle.
There is a note in rose n roses that I don’t like after it dies down. I can even smelled it after days on the sample card they sprayed. Not sure if the Dior counter have rose essence or not, but want to try it out.

The other comments said that she was quite feminine and delicate, like rose water. I was going to buy blindly and now I don't know what to do hahahha

I have this, and LOVE it!!
Purchased this as soon as it came out because the notes looked different, and not too sweet (I’m not a fan of the new Miss Dior edp or Absolutely blooming. I have the AB 20ml roller which smells like a thick sweet syrup and gives me headaches).
My favourite Miss Dior is Blooming Bouquet edt, and this is now close 2nd as its just so different to what I was expecting.
It’s slightly frustrating that its not available to test first in stores (I believe only Harrods may have it in store- not even Selfridges do as its Limited Edition and Exclusive), but if you’re purchasing anything off Dior online, you’re able to select this 2ml sample for free.

What does Dior offer people who don’t want to smell like a bouquet of flowers? I much prefer the Addict line and the Poison line. But then I hear they are discontinuing some of my favorites such as Poison Girl and Dior Addict. I used to love Miss Dior Cherie and they really disappointed me when they discontinued that. Even the J’Adore line is too flowery for me. I’m afraid Dior has lost my trust.

Had a smell of the new rose perfume and it really is delightful and has a deep rose woody smell 😍

I’m not a big rose wearer. Depends on the type of rose range I’ll wear like Velvet Rose and Oud by Jo Malone. but I definitely love patchouli and some bit of moss and woods in the mix. I need to sample this the next time I go to the mall. Looks like it’s not a safe blind buy and best to try it at store or get travel size.
Brilliant video, interesting the branding, bottle and smell don’t seem to match. It makes it a very dangerous blind buy. My apologies to the Frag community, I absolutely love the 2021 miss Dior reformulation and it has become my favourite fragrance, I get compliments every time I wear it, husband loves it, lasts for days and days on clothing the dry down brings me pure joy. Great honest video of this new limited ed flanker soki!

Thank you, Soki! Very useful. I never particularly cared for the Miss Dior line but this version sounds right up my alley. I like woody, mossy scents and also light leather notes. I will have to see (or rather smell :-) ) how oud-y it really is because I can handle oud only in small doses.
But I fully agree with you, the name, packaging and whole presentation seem to be quite misleading. Maybe they wanted to go more "niche" (in which case the presentation would be even more misleading) or it is indeed targeted towards the Middle Eastern market...hmm

You're really lucky. I bought the 100 ml bottle of Rose n' Roses and I think it lasts around maximum 4 hours on my skin. Yes the notes are such a standout from their other perfumes in my opinion. The Blooming Bouquet also lasts around 4 hours as well.
