Some of us have champagne dreams when it comes to headphones. Sure, we’d like to be able to drop a month’s rent on the best headphones ever, but our lite beer budget might mean otherwise. If you’ve ever been surfing Amazon, wondering if some of those budget priced earbuds are any good, I’m about to tell you about one of them. The Tribit Flybuds 3 in pink landed on my desk recently for testing and review. I’ll tell you about the sound quality, set up and features and if I think they really are a good buy.
Tribit Flybuds 3 are truly wireless earbuds. They come in a large charging and storage case and before you think it’s too big, hold up because it’s also a power bank that can charge your phone.
    Low Price
First up, the Tribit Flybuds 3 have a very attractive $39USD/$55CAD price tag, which makes these earbuds stand out to those shopping on a budget. Particularly when a lot of truly wireless earbuds ring in at about a hundred bucks, these are a huge standout for price alone.
    Long Battery Life
While a lot of headphones struggle with battery life, Tribit has pushed longevity over the top.
The Tribit Flybuds 3 boast 100 hours of battery life.
There’s about 5 hours of battery life in the buds themselves, which is about standard for this type of headphones. But with an additional 95 hours of battery stored in the case, that equates to about 20 days of listening without having to recharge.
    Charging Case/Power Bank
The reason the Tribit Flybuds 3 have such a large battery life is because it houses a 2,600 mAh battery which will not only power those 100 hours of listening, but it can also recharge your phone.
    Touch controls
Another feature mostly found in high end headphones is on-bud touch controls, yet here they are in the Tribit Flybuds 3.
    Sound quality
Right away I noticed good volume and clear sound. The bass is strong and has a good vibe though it is missing some of the resonance you’d find on a pair of high end headphones. Vocals come through loud and clear and overall the sound quality is shockingly good.
I did feel these headphones are a bit on the flat side when it comes to overall sound; there’s not a lot of depth or intricacy to these earbuds either on the low end or the high and if I were going to get really nitpicky, some music can seem like it’s being played through a sound dampening filter that compresses the overall sound, but at $39… come on, that really would be nitpicking. Don’t get me wrong; for what you get hear these sound just fine and would be a perfect pair of headphones to keep as an extra in your travel bag, or to get for forgetful or butterfingers types.
    What is the Independent Button?
The Tribit Flybud 3 charging case has what Tribit has oversold as its “independent button” on the front of the charging case. Push the button and it will reveal battery levels via four LED lights on the front.
    Waterproof Rating
The FlyBud 3s have an IPX7 waterproof rating, which translates to total water submersion of up to one meter, if you ever felt the need to do so.
    Wireless range/connectivity
The wireless range is up to 33ft/10m. If there’s a major complaint I can make about the Flybuds 3 it’s that I did hit some connectivity issues with them. Wandering across my main floor, the buds were prone to breakup when I put walls between the buds and my phone. Now that’s not an eyeryday thing, but if you like to walk around your home without your phone in hand while on conference calls, these might not be the right buds for you.
    Overall review:
Overall I have to say I’m floored by how good the Tribit Flybuds are.
When I run the final checklist here of all the high end features you’re getting for $39, it’s kind of hard to believe: There’s surprisingly good sound quality, touch controls, 100 hours of battery life, a power bank for your phone and other devices, plus they’re waterproof.
Downsides? The overall sound can seem a bit flat, and the connectivity is an issue if you don’t have your phone with you. They also only come in two colours.
Even so, those are kind of minor cons. So I hereby dub these my new favourite budget earbuds and I can definitely recommend them for you.
The Tribit Flybud 3s are the perfect earbuds for anyone looking for an affordable, good-value set of true wireless earphones with pretty impressive sound quality. They’re particularly good for those wanting extended battery life and the added bonus of never running out of juice on your phone!

The information is good but you didn't mention fit, which is a big feature for me. I can't figure out how the "wings" are supposed to work, and I still feel like they are falling out of my ear.

Found them hard to get a good fit for my ears tbh. They come with 6 pairs of earplugs (including the ones on them) but realistically there’s only 2 different sizes in 2different styles, also they only come with 2 different variants of the wingtip things so not really much options there (they aren’t comfortable to use without them either).

    Erin,
I like these buds but unfortunately I have people tell me that they can't hear me or my voice is too low, or they understand what saying. Has anyone experience that and or found a fix for this. I am a heavy whatsapp users to call people and thats where i primarily have this issue.

I thought the same thing but when I changed out the tips and they went further down in my ear, the bass sounds great
