I can't tell you how much I love this man, I'm learning so much from his lectures. And the things that he says resonate with me a lot, it's all very relatable. each time I watch one of these videos I fall deeper in love with Islam.

I was so sad and depressed because I was thinking that my loved ones are not practising Islam properly and I was thinking that I will be responsible because I am not pushing them to do but here ALLAH showed me this beautiful lecture by my fav teacher on my youtube feed. Jazak-ALLAH for the lecture ustad Nouman. No doubt ALLAH guides you whenever you ask HIM to guide. Don't lose hope, keep praying for guidance and HE will reply you with the best guidance Insh-ALLAH.
Don't stop reminding him though. If it wasn't for my parents I probably would have never prayed, my dad spoke to me calmly but sternly and I got the message that's all you need to do inshallah your son is guided.
Ooooh this is so true.. And I felt a shame when I heard the second part of the lecture, I'm afraid that someone go away of me because I insist on trying to make my beloved people be good, and I give advices much.. I hope I'm not this kind of annoying ppl.. What he said about being listing to others completely correct, we love who listens to us more than who speaks.. And sometimes ppl need who gives them ear, not for advise, just to relax and find sympathize.. And the first part of the lecture reminds me how much I eager to show my bestie the true way to God, and whenever I read this verse "Aya" he mentioned; I feel scared 🤦 to happen this with me and my friend.. That is true - imposing unnecessary religious lectures on people's heads without understanding their circumstances will only the worsen their situation.
This is one of the experience that hurts more than any heartbreak can , knowing your loved ones might fall to the wrong path... or something that would destroy them.. ;_; . I relate to what Nourman Ali said, about how to trying to stop them from from falling into the fire, like a moth attracted to a lamp that will kill them.. i know that so well...
I remembered that I watched this Khutba a few months ago. And today I clicked at it again because I needed to hear this. I nearly got in a haram relationship, but I stopped it and instead tried to talk to him about Islam. I never missed Tahajjud for months, didn‘t finish a prayer without making Dua for his guidance. Today he clearly said to me that he rejects Islam. And now I‘m constantly thinking: Should I have said something else? Could I have brought better arguments, could I have articulated better? I need to accept that it‘s not in my hands. Even though I can‘t bear the thought of him going to Jahannam, I‘ll stay away from him and trust in Allah and his plan.
I used to have an american fiance who had an intention to convert.. unfortunately his friends'influence was too powerful and I lived far away from him. I failed.. May Allaah give him soft and light heart to embrace Islam, through others. Aamiin

Very good lecture. Just wanted to add that everyone's loved ones are different. As an example, even, out of 5 children, each can be different mentality. Some will abhor being reminded over and over again but others will like reminding/nagging (which shows you care). So, I suggest you try to be not too much "focused" in one aspect but try to cover additional angles/possibilities wo losing your main points. JMK.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)."[Muslim].
Masya Allah.. This khutbah hit me directly. Indeed every believers want to be chosen as the guided person by Allah. But what if Allah decides us as the left ones? It will be Allah prerogative right? Like how He chosed Ibrahim AS who lived in a jahiliah environment, no one taught him about tauheed. But Allah with his prerogative chosed Ibrahim AS as the guided one. My question is , how to make Allah chose us as the guided ones?
