It was painful to admit to himself that Kageyama could have changed, because then he had to consider that maybe he gave up on Kageyama too easily in middle school, and that he may have been part of the problem too.
I 100% agree. Though I think no matter what Kagayama wouldn’t have changed during middle school. I think his change has to do more with his current team and less to do with him alone.

Idk if someone already explained it but I'll explain it again. The "Ace" term is used frequently throughout the anime. It does not mean the best player. It means the player that usually scores the most points for the team. They will be given the ball to score a point in tough or tense situations. The title of Ace usually goes to the left outside hitter as this player will most likely be able to score a point. If I made any mistakes please correct me and I'll make fix it.
The outside hitter (left) usually called "ace" because most of the time the setter will send them the free ball because they can easily (well sometimes not) hit it and score hehe

I think with Noya it was mostly okay because she got introduced to the show that way; from her being a lib and people talking about Nishinoya in the comments of her IRL volleyball videos long before she started watching. I don't particularly like it when they talk about later characters like Kenma and Bokuto and the rest, but tbh I'm guessing by the time she gets there she'll have long forgotten about that and will hopefully be pleasantly surprised anyway.

Hello I am Japanese (I use a translator). The story of Kageyama's family appears in 43 volumes of the comic. But it will be a long time before it becomes an anime. Also, Kageyama's grandfather and older sister will appear instead of their parents.

He never apologized properly and even after that he never chatted with him in a friendly manner, even though Kageyama was always nice with him. Sugawara has a good personality. Oikawa is a shitty senpai period. Yes, Oikawa's personnality is complex and interesting (Kageyama's is even more) but that doesn't make him a nice person.
