I also like the criticism of the sexism of the music industry: to sell their song, they are obliged to dress as men, with a tie, and wear a moustache, to take outrageous male attitudes, parodying rappers.

It was so sweet watching you research the meaning of the song. Lovely.

We feel the influence of Konstrakta as well on the theme (the difficulty for an artist to live from his talent - receiving only 0,003 dollar per download on Spotify) but also the music with this liturgical chorus (Oh mio padre).
There is a ghost in me: the ghostwriter who writes the songs gets nothing unlike the stars who sing their compositions

I had a similar feeling, reminds me a little bit of Konstrakta, kind of being silly but with deep meaning... this is a direct spit to the music industry, since the traditional business structure til the actual streaming music services such as Spotify or even Tik Tok.

as far as the .003 goes, Spotify price for streams. Example as of 1 hour ago Loreen sat at 8,861,000 streams - 26583 dollars.. FOR nearly 9 million damn streams >.< As far as looking deeper research a bit about the now winning Tattoo from Loreen.. it is all about her Berber roots from Morocco - nails, costume, henna tattoos, symbols on screen, sand/wind evoking the Sahara.. and eventually she is holding the sky up... = Atlas from mythology.. and the Atlas Mountains run thru Morocco. It is so multilayered that it is mindblowing

the absolute best entry fur Osterreich since "Rise Like A Phoenix" #IsaidWhatIsaid #CesarSampsonWasJustApowerBalladPeriod Cesar Sampson and "Loin D'Ici" were great numbers, but this.. THIS is a brilliantly produced, and mlyrically meaningful number

And didn't Poe use supernatural elements to explore social issues? And now T & S employ the fanciful notion of being possessed by the ghost of Poe to explore issues that matter to artists today. Very interesting.

Heard so many people use this argument "it sounds like a joke entry". In ESC, so what?.
Secondly, is it good? It's like people don't like to admit they liked baby shark, because its a children's song. A good song can still be super annoying. But if it sticks, there's definitely something good in it.

Yep, I think You got it. "Edgar" the ghost is the real composer of the song, or in the office environment, the person/people who does 90% of the actual work without getting credit for it.
In the video the women try to become the boss by posing as men, which I found to be a little bit unnecessary and divisive. It's not like the bosses are all men anymore. They're just like faceless bureaucrats, or cogs of a machine. Most people in PR or HR are women nowadays. So they conflate a contemporary real problem, with a past one, unnecessarily.
Otoh maybe it works better as a storytelling tool, if they pretend to be men. The real gist of it, is the music industry tries to keep smaller competition or streaming sites, with better deals to artists, down.
A very controlled, almost monopolistic business, which is why the quality of main stream music has been going down lately. The good stuff gets made sure, but it doesn't get airplay among the record label Ariana Grande's and Blanka's of that world.
