Great video, Andrew, and great to see you out after the rough weather. Pleased to hear you’re onto your third batch of books - well deserved and I’m sure a lot more to come. Clear skies!

Good to see you back out fella. Instead of taking a battery out of your intervalometer get a small square of firm card and put it between the positive end of one of the batteries and it's contact point, when you take it out to use the intervalometer keep it in the wee nook between the batteries.

Andrew how do you actually use the starglow filter?? Are you moving it side to side??

Great vlog! Must be tough to get consistent clear skies there. What camera are you using for your vlog? It's capturing the background stars very well in low light!

Yeah clear skies have been a real challenge lately! And I use the sony a7s and the samyang 24mm f1.4 :)

Its really good to see clear sky's again after such an awful start to Autumn. It got chilly down in Blackpool too with the nights dropping to 5c. Nothing like your minus numbers though.
Venus does indeed look awesome at the moment. One of the perks of having to work night's is to see Venus pop up before I go to bed. I even got to see Mercury as well recently.
Good luck with your book and have fun with your presentations.😀

Nice Andrew. I love the effect the starglow filter gives. Any recommendations for one as I know the kase is no longer available

ah i normally recommend the alyn wallace star glow filter or that kase one but if its no longer available that's really annoying :(

@scotlandsnightsky kase and Alan Wallace is the same. They worked together to produce it but for some reason they no.longer make it. Might take a punt on the NiSi filter. Cheers
