    One lesson I've learnt from billionaires is to always put your money to work, and diversifying your investments. I'm planning to invest about $30k of my savings in stocks this year, and I hope I make profits.

      @JosephineKenney 4 місяці тому +3

      You are right. The best approach I feel is to diversify investments- by spreading investments across different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown.

      Dimon is the CEO of the bank that: 1.Got a $416 Billion dollar bailout while he sat on the board of the NY Fed before being invited to then be it's CEO as a thank you for bailing them out. That same board now votes to pay him over $30 million annually in salary. 2. Was fined $13 Billion for mortgage fraud. 3. Was found guilty of illegally foreclosing on homes and the homes of veterans after the great recession. 4. Avoids taxs by using offshoring its profits.

    I really really like Warren Buffett. That said, there is a real serious issue with the low wages of Americans with high debt. Demand for goods and services are drying up because 80% of Americans have no spending power; they are barely making it. With less and less market demand, the economy will go the way of so many South American economies in the past with the 1% holding 95% of the wealth... stagnation and economic collapse.

  • @eyeofthetiger7

    If they can come up with a great business model for health care and deliver innovations, and efficiencies, it's helps everyone and the economy in many ways by people and businesses saving money on health care costs, while getting better health care. The health care industry is notoriously bloated and wasteful.

  • @sillyhead5

    I like Jamie Dimon and the chairman of Berkshire Hathaway has been a hero of mine for my entire adult life. But it's a little rich for them to (rightfully) criticize the prioritization of short-term results when it's the long-term results that matter while conveniently ignoring that the very platform they're being interviewed on has done more to focus on short-term results than anyone. CNBC is the single most destructive force I can think of when it comes to the gamification of something that should be taken extremely seriously. The animations, set designs, and the pace of breaking news all makes it sound look and sound like a giant casino. I get why Becky Quick didn't say anything against CNBC but Warren and Jamie had nothing to lose by being honest about whose fault this is.

      Healthcare is a mess. It's not about them owning it. They will never own it (healthcare is far too large). It's about coming up with and demonstrating a business model for how to fix it. The government will never solve the health care crisis (it is a crisis of cost), as it rarely solves any problems in society besides by keeping rule of law. The free market private sector is what made our world prosperous and advanced today.

      Would you buy a business you buy it to hold it forever. Quarter by quarter guidance and numbers makes investors a more skittish lot, buying and selling on an executive's words, leading to all kinds of bad incentives for a company's executives. They should be more focused long-term, not quarter by quarter.
