Awesome video showing how to do this! I’m also glad the wire broke because now I know how to fix that too. Thanks so much! Off to replace my hideous old baseboard heaters!

Thanks for the video. We just bought a house with baseboard heaters in it. I think they were from the 70s… so yeah upgrading!

Nice. No need to get baseboard heater covers. I was thinking of just painting mine, but an update might freshen up the rooms.

Thanks for the demonstration. I a woman with absolutely no handy work knowledge, but I think I can follow this easily. One question? How do you turn off the electricity?

Thanks for watching! You can turn off your electricity from the circuit breaker box. Sometimes they are not clearly labeled so one way to check if you do not have any tools is to turn on the current heater (if it is still in working condition) and try each one and see which one turns off that heater. In most cases, the circuit breaker should have a 15 on it. This number represents the amperage. If you see a higher or lower number, it likely isn't the right one. Hopefully for your sake, they are all labeled! Good luck with the project and please subscribe for future DIY repair projects!

Your video should be taken down. When you were putting the wire through the back plate into the heater, there needs to be a electrical fitting installed on the plate before you put wire into the heater. You now have a sharp edge around the wire and may cause a fire. Very bad

Wrong! And illegal. A realtor should not be demonstrating a job which a professional electrician should be doing. That is not considered a safe installation!!

Tesla ads suck. Tesla batteries sell for $30K, and only provide a few hours worth of electricity.
