The Vita was definitely ahead of it's time. The system it's still very capable even in 2023 and the homebrew community definitely supported this system very well up until now. It's sad how Sony let that system die but the amazing fan community came together after Sony left the Vita die and the fans said: hold my beer, Sony!

The Vita was outclassed and outdated by smart devices on the day it released. It's okay to love the system, but dude, be real.

It is disappointing that Valve still hasn’t released the SD in Australia and considering how the Aya Neo is going upwards of $1500+, the Vita is still an awesome alternative and it is telling that the community support is still strong. Don’t feel like forking out $1000+ to import the Steam Deck so until it arrives on Australian shores, the Switch and modded Vita will suffice.

Lol the Vita doesn't "smooth out" the PS2 version of GTA. It's a port of the Android game. Also Chinatown Wars was DS and PSP but the homebrew port is, again, the Android version because it's higher res.

Yes I do! And I recommend looking on eBay for deals. Even potentially getting a Japanese vita for cheaper, and modding it to make it just like a NTSC vita.

Yeah the Vita was definitely ahead of its time and Sony was a fool to so quickly deflate the ball that they thought they had dropped!!! I absolutely love my hacked PlayStation vita and playing all the game boy games and super Nintendo games and I love playing streets of rage from Sega genesis on it as well as a bunch of others.. it really took me back getting to see road rash on the Sega genesis again for the first time in over 30 years!! Note: Super Mario 64 on the Daedalus emulator runs almost perfect however, while you’re running with the analog stick I’ve noticed that the speed that Mario runs that will decrease while you were holding the analog at full tilt?!?! I’ve checked my analog with other games and it’s not my analog stick it’s the emulator!!! It’ll happen after you’ve been playing for a while and for me it happened in the up right direction- After I had been playing for about an hour or two pressing forward all the way on the analog stick would not make Mario run at full speed in the upper right direction and it was extremely aggravating making it pretty much useless because you will fail at platforming because of that but ultimately it’s still pretty awesome! I’m also willing to consider that my hacked vet, Aida has some kind of glitch in the older firmware? It is one of the original hacked ones after all. .. it doesn’t have the newest firmware-
bro M64 has a oort that also has a mod that let's use the right stick as camera the mod is call puppy cam I think .. I Generally Find that m64 didn't age well even with the puppy controls installed for me I still didn't enjoy it so I stop played m64 ... also love my vita and pretty use it as my main for gaming I have oled gba games look so beautiful thank you for everything Homebrew SD2Vita Was A God send 🍻👍
