- Soccer Mommy is the project of 22 year old Sophie Allison. The Nashville native hit the music scene in the mid-2010's when she was still a high school student. Now, on her second album, we are excited to welcome her to KCRW ahead of the release of her new record Color Theory.

singing the chorus and playing the lick is impressive. Variant melodies.
She's such an awesome guitar player
Favorite song on the album for sure. Really makes me feel some type of way
Wow. She is so amazingly talented. I still give this album the perfect pandemic album. Every song on Color Theory is brilliant.
She made a top album of the year for 2020 what an amazing album!
As one of the songs that has got the poppest melody in the album this song is pretty catchy and awesome And this live is also well done
That riff is catchy af 😍
I want to disappear into this song and never leave
I would love to see Soccer Mommy live
Sophie is very 😎 ! 👍
Sweet melody.
Cool sound
Sounds like Alvvays covering a Cat Power song.
Cat Power or girlysound era Liz Phair, yea that's true.
🙌
why is the drummer behind glass. is he an assassination's target
they all hate him and the way he sounds. but he's a necessity so they just keep him behind the glass at a distance
real answer - sound isolation for the live mix
So much better than the album version. I love the songs on the album but the production lacks the punch this recording has
she sounds like clairo here tbh
No
definitely hear deerhunter influence! cool
omg yes, I couldn't think what band it reminded me of, it's definitely a good thing, maybe thats why it's one of my favourites of the album
Was that three guitarists, and a bass??
You can't count Sophie's boyfriend - he's really just 'there' - awful player
@@retrodad1973 Jew-fro and glasses...?
@@Panthercholo nothing Jewish about him or those nostrils - let him drive the bus Sophie! No need to have him on the stage
@@retrodad1973 Oh that one. Got it.
@@Panthercholo That guy is pretty good IMO - him and Sophie make great music - Bassist is awesome too. If you watch other live acts the BF's mix is up and holy crap it's bad - not avant garde bad either!
I was pretty bummed when this turned out not to be a Linkin Park cover.
For me it was the other way round... I actually overlooked this performance as I thought it was just a Linkin Park cover... Then when I looked at the tracklist of her new album right before I played it for the first time this afternoon, I saw that "Crawling in my Skin" was there, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the album, and is in fact an original. I was disappointed with myself for overlooking it as this performance would have made me even more hyped up for the album than I was.
that was the only reason I clicked this video lmao. good song though
Weird Linkin Park cover
