    Thank you so much for such informative videos and especially presenting it in a short and crisp way. Also i'd request if you can cover more on antifungals, antivirals(especially AIDS), Chemotherapy drugs and TB drugs. It'll be of great help.

    Thank you Dr Ryan.....you are such a life saver!! Was gonna ask also if there can be further expatiation on ketosis & diabetic ketoacidosis...thanks!!!

    • @mentaldental
      @mentaldental  3 роки тому +5

      Ketosis is generally not harmful, and is the presence of higher than normal ketones in the blood and urine due to the burning of stored fat (can happen in fasting states as well as type I diabetics). Ketoacidosis on the other hand is potentially life-threatening and is the presence of high levels of ketones AND sugar in the blood making it too acidic, which can cause serious harm to the liver and kidneys.

    Hi I really like your video materials. i listen to them very carefully. but i can't understand the mechanism of GLP! and GIP hormones. You say that they are inhibited and thereby increase the production of insulin. Thanks for reply ( watch the video from 16:10sek)

    Dr u said above 7% is poorly controlled - but in min @11:00 in the video u said if above 8 it s poor controlled , while on cdc they list 9 and above so i m confused on which is considered poorly controlled level , plz advice

    Hey Dr. Ryan, if I pay you the $15, will I be getting future INDBE slides or just the current ones? Do we also get the old NBDE slides?

    • @mentaldental
      @mentaldental  3 роки тому

      You would get all current and future INBDE slides! The NBDE Part II slides are separate as a $30 purchase as listed on those videos.

    Hi Dr. Ryan.... i wanted to ask.. hypoglycemia and syncope symptoms are quite similar... how can we differentiate both?

    • @mentaldental
      @mentaldental  3 роки тому +1

      Well that’s tough to differentiate because hypoglycemia can often lead to syncope! So it’s more about what led to the syncope, if it was low blood sugar or something else.

    Another ques i wanted to ask.. if a patient is on insulin.. i understand that he should have his meal and normal dose of insulin before he comes for the appt.
    but which is a more important factor if we want to select one before the appointment .. meal or insulin ?

    • @mentaldental
      @mentaldental  3 роки тому +1

      Having the meal is more important if you are trying to avoid a hypoglycemic event.
