Im sorry my regular closing is missing from this weeks video. For some reason I received a copyright claim against the closing song thats been used in every single video. I provided the proper documentation showing I have the licensing rights to the song. But the company continued to dispute the claim. My last option was to see legal counsel or trim out the last 20 seconds. So I'll say it here. We will do this again next week! Untill then, be kind, be honest, I'll see you down the road.
Well if that ain’t a crock of 💩! That sucks man! Anyways, hope you get it worked out! Even though music means it’s the end, I’ve grown accustomed to it over the years and it’s just not the same without it 😞
I agree!! That company took about 300 bucks out of my pocket! All because of the last 20 seconds of the video. After 2.5 years, the videos are coming close to paying for the weekend....now it's gone. There is nothing I can do about it. Epidemic Sound provided me with someone to contact right away if it happens again. But that doesn't help this time. I completely understand why 99.9% of UA-camrs have sponcered videos. It's almost impossible to count on advertising revenue alone.

Thank you Kenny for another inspiring camping video! I've never winter camped before, despite having lived through 52/53 northern Minnesota winters. My dream idea of a great winter "sport" is heading to where there is palm trees, surf and sand with warm sunny weather! You make winter camping look (almost) enjoyable! 🤣 Thanks again!
I hear you. My body feels the cold more and more every year. Once I hit 45, the cold started affecting me more. But I think I got a few more good winter left.
The last time i went ice fishing, 1972, the group of us caught 120 trout, bluegill and crappies. The sun came out and we were in short sleeves, also got a good sunburn that day. Thanks for the ride along. Always enjoy it.
Kenny your right that north wind this time of year is no joke. We felt it in Michigan too. I'm laughing with you on the fishing, you do have some terrible luck. At least you went camping & it was quite. Thanks for taking all of us along with you. Safe travels.
I call that goulash. You are a damn good cooker bud. Yeah, I have been wanting to get out of the ice tube but it hasn’t been cold enough to get a lot of good ice. Be safe out there though. I really enjoy watching your UA-cam channels.
Hats off to you, Kenny, for your super human cold tolerance ability, don't think I'd be any competition at all! Supper looked yummy as usual! I love your sense of humor and how you take disappointment in stride; of course, there's not much else you can do, you either accept life's issues at face value with grace, or complain about something you cannot change--the former works much better and you prove that every week! Have a great week Kenny, and Merry Christmas to you and your family. Will see ya when we see ya!
As Kenny walks out of the camper, says it's dark outside. 'Let's go check out the the lake". I literally was shaking my head and saying "Noooooooooo", outloud. I thought, this it what it means when they say women live longer. Pitch black. Walking in 22° windy weather towards a lake covered in snow. Then "Let's go check out the ice". All I thought about was that poor food in the oven will not get eaten because Kenny broke through the ice, in the dark, with no life saving equipment for the "just in case".
I think you are in too deep of water. Crappie may be at 15’ to 20’ around cover. That’s what I would be looking for. Your bass, pike and muskys may 30+ ft deep. Great video though. The funeral hot dish looked pretty tasty.
It was nice to see him struggling like the rest of us. That's exactly what my projects look like. That car gave him a run for his money. It's funny that GM had displacement on demand issues 40 years ago, gave up on it....then brought it back in the 5.3L. I don't know much about the new trucks other than there are lifter issues because of that displacement on demand. I've never owned a new truck with that fancy stuff. My daily is a 96 Silverado 5.7L with 320k on the driveline. It's had a snowplow since day 1 and still hanging in there....just barely!
Lol. That's true in more then one way! This video got a copyright strike against it for the same song I've played in all of my 130 videos. So now I won't make my fuel costs back on this video. This is why I still work 45 hours a week and keep UA-cam as a hobby. Nothing is guaranteed in life....especially UA-cam and fishing!
That's the plan! I'm thinking about putting my ice shack on the lake. It hasn't been out in a few years. Before the channel, I would spend a lot of time in that shanty. Maybe I can incorporate that into a camping video.
Good evening from Godley Texas, always goad to see you out dealing with Mother Nature. Love the snow camping and fishing. Glad you remembered the ice auger this trip. You're simple meal preparation attests to your culinary skills. I know i sleep better in my truck camper.... crazy but i get it. Thanks for letting us ride along with you. Live life to its fullest. Merry Christmas Kenny.
Crosslake is everything people think of when someone says, "we are heading up to the cabin this weekend." It represents the Minnesota lake life very well.
Lol. I had it up just past the tree level, and the wind completely took it away! I went full speed into the wind, and I was still getting pushed backward. I had to fly with the wind and found a forest road to land on. Thankfully, the drone has a future called " find my drone." It sent me on a little walk, but I got it! That's why there is not much footage from Saturday. Otherwise, I was hoping to get a shot of the snow coming down while flying over the tree tops.
Love ur videos , doing a wonderful job. Like it when ur camping solo and nobody around. And how u always clean the campgrounds before u go camping..keep up the good work..
I have been at that campground before. Nice little place. We had the wind cold and snow too. It's supposed to do this as you know. Well you tried the fishing....good job. Next time you will hook up. The pros make it look easy don't they. Have a Merry Christmas and Take care.
Laughed loud at the remark about them wanting you to NOT show yourself fishing. Too funny man. I swear I want to live your weekends full time. I'm about ready to turn my Suburban into a stealth camper and hit the woods!
@KennyOfAllTrades I can't post a picture here, but she's a beast. Big 1999 K2500 4x4, 7.4l 454 big block. She can tow a 12klb trailer, but she's so big it's like living in a van with low head clearance 😅. Offroad capable, like your truck, but can only eek out 12mpg at best on the 35in KO2'S. My old 4runner barely got better at half the size, though.
Never underestimate the power of a hot dish to bring people together, even if it's just to mourn the lack of fish. 😮 Merry Christmas from Florida (low of 50° in the 10-day forecast), while you brave the winter winds for the perfect Christmas catch! Stay warm and hooked on fun!
Kenny your is totally awesome. I have a Lance camper myself and I spend the winter in Winterhaven California. I sit here and think about home Minnesota and then all I have to do is go look at one of your videos. Great job Kenny.!!!!!!!😊
Kenny, I really enjoy your videos. I'm a camper myself, although a bit less mechanized than you. Use to have a Four Wheel Popup, but now have a smaller Aliner that I pull with a 2020 Ford Ranger. Good rib. I'm a retired videographer, editor and want to compliment you on your editing skills and story telling. If you ever get out Colorado, look me up.
I always had my interns read, "In the Blink of an Eye." I forget the authors name. Great book on editing. You might enjoy it. I also like your choice of music. Copy right issues aren't what they used to be, but I suppose you still ahve to be careful. Keep up the good work. @@KennyOfAllTrades
I will definitely check out your recommendation. I have been learning along the way. It's taking a long time, but I really enjoy the different aspects of making videos. I use a gopro camera and the DJI mini 2 drone. So nothing fancy. I don't understand how to use a real camera yet. I've had to deal with a few copyright claims in the past. Normally, I would present youtube and the complainant with my licensing information from Epidemic Sound. That's all it would take for the claim to be dropped. This time, the complainant was another company offering a subscription service for royalty free music. I challenged their claim a few times, but they continued to deny my licensing rights. It escalated to the point where UA-cam made threats to strike the channel if I continued and lost the claim. I did not have the ability to continue the fight. I work a full-time Monday through Friday job and barely have time to make these videos. I dont have time to see legal counsel. It's too bad that UA-cam can not recognize that the channel pays a monthly subscription to epidemic sound, and that is where i received the licensing rights to play the song. In the end, the company that filed the claim stole around three hundred dollars that the video made in revenue. Hopefully, UA-cam can fix this issue, or content creators will continue to get scammed and taken advantage of by false copyright infringement claims. The sad part is that I constantly hear commercials on UA-cam for the company that stole my money. Ok...rant over. Thanks for listening.
I don't know if my other reply got sent. I really enjoyed editing, too. It's where the story really comes to life. I miss it, but not the deadlines. I got into with Disney once. They are really nasty. Had a story where school kids were singing HI Ho, Hi, Ho. Can you believe that. There were really coming after me, but finally got them to back off. I love all you toys. My latest is a 12 volt compressor refirg. Alpicool. I love that thing. Run it off a 100 watt panel and a AGM battery. Works great. @@KennyOfAllTrades
@williambond4367 I have the book in my check out in Amazon. It has a ton 5 star reviews. Thanks for the recommendation. It's something how Disney was having a fit about 2 words. Your other comment must have been deleted by UA-cam.....they know best. 🤣
Hey Kenny! We hope that you are enjoying your week off! Larry informed us that UA-cam doesn't like when you don't post on a regular basis so..... Cindy and I are watching this one again! Thank you so much for another year of travels through your home state of Minnesota. If we ever get away from the east coast and head your way..... I won't waste my time bringing a Fishing Pole. Thank you so much for the support. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch the videos. If you and Cindy make it this way, I can help you find some spots! Have a Merry Christmas and an awesome New Year.
I was behind as I was on vacation, I just watched your last video last night, imagine my surprise to catch another one tonight. I forgot it was Tuesday! Oh happy day! Great video Kenny, as always! God’s Blassings to you all over this holiday season and every day! That's for being so dedicated in all you do! Used to do a lot of snowmobiling around that area growing up!
Dang Kenny..your videos are so relaxing.just got home from work got me a hot shower seen your video posted on my phone .your video almost made me go to sleep the snow an the warm camper doesn't get any better than that.be safe .
I'm watching him work on the 70's green Ford F250 as I type this. I really love his channel. I've watched this episode probably three times already. UA-cam keeps feeding me his stuff one video after another.
I have heard of “funeral potatoes “, but never “funeral hotdish”. Funeral potatoes are a Utah thing. I kinda felt bad for you sitting out on the lake eating a cold sausage, (with NO gloves on!) until you reassured us that was better than a good day of work. The red night was pretty freaky, but kinda cool too. Socked into that camping spot was a relaxing video, and as always, thanks for the drone footage. Just so you know, I don’t think many of us watch you for your fishing skills, although they can be entertaining! Have a great Christmas with your family.
I wish the camera could have captured how odd and creepy that red landscape felt. It was still windy, and I was working on supper, or I would have went out side. I'm sure it would have been a beautiful sunset if the sky's were clear. But it felt like Mars had frozen over. Ps I gotta check out funeral potatoes now!
My moms family is from Upper Peninsula Michigan. Marquette to be exact. Your Funeral dinner is called Goulash up there, They just add black beans to it.
This video shows us all that a person can have fun winter camping. You looked warm & comfortable in your Arctic Fox truck camper. Enjoyed the video! Merry Christmas!!
😆 I'm glad to hear you enjoy the fishing... Maybe I should say I'm going to wet a line from now on. That way, there's no expectation for fish. Have a great Christmas 🎄
Gosh I was cold just watching you. You'll catch some fish, just have faith. DNR didn't want to get out in the cold 😉 Your funeral hot dish looks good, one of those dishes that gets better the next day. Some biscuits or cornbread would pair nicely with it. Nice relaxing weekend, and Vicegrip Garage is a welcome treat anytime. Have a great visit with family and friends dear. Stay safe, GOD bless and Merry Christmas.
And I meant to mention, I live in Indiana, and we have not really any winter snow here yet and I'm bummed. I love the snow. Send some our way if ya want. 😅 it's beautiful and the views you get are stunning to me
I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! I'll be happy to send the snow your way as soon as we start getting more. This winter season has been a nice break from the regular winters. We would normally have over a foot on the ground by this time.
Another most excellent video there KOAT, as Larry said…great drone footage heading to the fishing (skunk) grounds. And as others made mention, great editing…you’ve come along way sir! In Western PA we’d call that dish goulash and adding some cheeses to the tops is pretty yummy too! Merry Christmas to you, Mandi and the girls!!! As always, stay safe out there…..
Merry Christmas Mike! I'm glad to hear you say the editing is looking good. You have been around for a while and have seen the progression of my editing skills (or lack there of). I'm still using the same camera and editing software, but the recording process is finally getting easier for me. It's taken a while, but I'm able to imagine what my final video will look like as I'm recording. I've still got so much to learn.
@@KennyOfAllTrades don’t sell yourself short KOAT!!! You do a fantabulous job with your storyline, camera and editing! I follow quite a few YTers and your work is as good as a lot of them and better than a lot them!

Dont feel bad Kenny , I have never caught any fish in my life and i am 66 . LOL
You remembered the auger! lol
Even the mink was wearing a mink jock strap in that weather ... so was the wolf !
“Is that a cold sausage in his hand?” That was hilarious. It’s not everyday you hear that phrase, lol. Too funny!
I made funeral hotdish for dinner per your instructions - it was absolutely delicious! 😊 thanks for the video and the wonderful recipe!
Hope you have a Merry Christmas, Kenny.
Love Crosslake, MN. Many, many memories of water skiing, fishing & heraing the loon calls late into the evening. Homesick for sure. Love the "Ufta!"
Crosslake is everything people think of when someone says, "we are heading up to the cabin this weekend." It represents the Minnesota lake life very well.
❤Love your channel, I’m a fan.
Here in the northeast we just call that dish American chop suey.
Thank you for the great video. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
You too! Thanks
I’m so glad were having a mile winter!
I usually watch your weekly video about an hour before supper. Then I see what you make and by the time my supper is ready... I'm ravenous! 🤣
Haha Thanks!
Pretty brave getting the drone out in that wind. Thanks as always for sharing your weekend with us. 😊
Merry Christmas 🎄
Same to you!
I had never heard of funeral hotdish before this 🙂
I have been at that campground before.
I know, I laughed out loud to myself as well, isn't that something, the nerve of some people! 😅😂😆
That would be a sweet rig!
Merry Christmas from Florida (low of 50° in the 10-day forecast), while you brave the winter winds for the perfect Christmas catch! Stay warm and hooked on fun!
Kenny your is totally awesome. I have a Lance camper myself and I spend the winter in Winterhaven California. I sit here and think about home Minnesota and then all I have to do is go look at one of your videos. Great job Kenny.!!!!!!!😊
Brrrr! Stay warm! Have a great time with family!
Kenny, I really enjoy watching your fishing efforts. You are probably better than I am. What I do is called UNFISHING!! Thank you and keep at it!!
LOVE ALL THE DRONE CAPTURE, KENNY, GREAT JOB.....those little add ons are super
Kenny, I really enjoy your videos. I'm a camper myself, although a bit less mechanized than you. Use to have a Four Wheel Popup, but now have a smaller Aliner that I pull with a 2020 Ford Ranger. Good rib. I'm a retired videographer, editor and want to compliment you on your editing skills and story telling. If you ever get out Colorado, look me up.
Very cool. Thank you for the compliment. That really means a lot to me.
Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas Kenny ! ⛄🎄🎅
There are no fish there!!!
Merry Christmas to You, Mandy and the rest of your family!!!! See you down the road!
Tom & Cindy Duncan
Thank you so much for the support. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch the videos. If you and Cindy make it this way, I can help you find some spots! Have a Merry Christmas and an awesome New Year.
I was behind as I was on vacation, I just watched your last video last night, imagine my surprise to catch another one tonight. I forgot it was Tuesday! Oh happy day! Great video Kenny, as always! God’s Blassings to you all over this holiday season and every day! That's for being so dedicated in all you do!
Used to do a lot of snowmobiling around that area growing up!
Good video. The food looked good. I might try the recipe sans tomato paste. You and yours have a Merry Christmas!
Dang Kenny..your videos are so relaxing.just got home from work got me a hot shower seen your video posted on my phone .your video almost made me go to sleep the snow an the warm camper doesn't get any better than that.be safe .
What an awesome compliment! Thanks for watching.
You and Vice Grip… my 2 favorite UA-camrs
I'm watching him work on the 70's green Ford F250 as I type this. I really love his channel. I've watched this episode probably three times already. UA-cam keeps feeding me his stuff one video after another.
@@KennyOfAllTrades I first watched him about a year ago he drove a Model A half way cross country and constantly broke down, he’s a talented guy
@@KennyOfAllTrades also… Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎅
Same to you and yous, merry Christmas
No Kenny this week, so watching some of your older videos and Vice Grip…. Hope you and your family enjoy the holiday.
Merry Christmas Kenny and family .
Marry Christmas 🎄
That's a great meal you cooked up. Glad you remembered the auger this time! Congratulations on the outstanding channel, well done!
Thanks
Great video. I am ready for you to make a cookbook. My wife is making some of the dishes for Christmas.
That's awesome! I hope guys enjoy them. Have a great Christmas 🎄.
My moms family is from Upper Peninsula Michigan. Marquette to be exact. Your Funeral dinner is called Goulash up there, They just add black beans to it.
I've had it with black beans as well. That is a great addition to it!
This video shows us all that a person can have fun winter camping. You looked warm & comfortable in your Arctic Fox truck camper. Enjoyed the video! Merry Christmas!!
Thank you so much! Have a great Christmas
Agreed…I sleep better in my NL than at home. We’ll miss you next week! Have a Merry Christmas!
Your voice is so calming thanks for sharing
Humility... virtuous. Good work man! Thanks
The most entertaining fishing show that the host hardly ever catches anything. Merry Christmas Kenny. 👍✌️
😆 I'm glad to hear you enjoy the fishing... Maybe I should say I'm going to wet a line from now on. That way, there's no expectation for fish. Have a great Christmas 🎄
@@KennyOfAllTrades Now, that's funny Kenny! 😅😄😂
Your camper is so beautiful and comfortable inside ❤
Up here in New England we'd call that dish American Chop Suey..Some people vary the ingredients but hey. Looks good. ..Stay warm...
My camper is fully usable with the slide in like yours. I love it. Super cold or windy? No problem - just leave the slide in. Very nice.
Thanks for watching
Gosh I was cold just watching you. You'll catch some fish, just have faith. DNR didn't want to get out in the cold 😉 Your funeral hot dish looks good, one of those dishes that gets better the next day. Some biscuits or cornbread would pair nicely with it. Nice relaxing weekend, and Vicegrip Garage is a welcome treat anytime. Have a great visit with family and friends dear. Stay safe, GOD bless and Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas. Have a wonderful week.
When does your Weekender Camp Chef cookbook come out ? Plan it for next year, it’d be a great Christmas gift.
Always enjoy your content, but I've been sick the last few days and working through your older content from the very beginning. Informative, chill and peaceful when I have no energy or desire to do anything but sit and watch. Thank you for your videos :)
Oh yes, I know exactly how you feel daevien, I have a headcold and that's exactly how I feel.
I sure hope that you start feeling better each day, you don't want to be sick for Christmas! 🎅
I appreciate your time! I know the first year or so, my editing and recording were not very good. So I appreciate you watching the old ones.
@@didibolter9362 Slowly getting better, still trying keep the lung down that keeps trying to escape.
@@KennyOfAllTrades There are differences but it's not bad at all. I do find myself missing the cooking segments on older stuff though heh
@@KennyOfAllTrades Kenny, EVERY video that you make is interesting, exciting and yes, even nerve wracking when you walk out onto that lake water, that really scares me!!!
Enjoyed your video and the food looked delicious.
Thank you.
So glad I stumbled across your channel. It was a cold, rainy Sunday in the Missouri. So my wife and I watched your videos all day long under a blanket on the couch through the big screen tv. Thanks for taking us with. Love the channel!
I really appreciate the comment. I am glad you found the channel. 😊
Dang...that looks cold! Luckily, in the mountains of BC we are still largely snow free for a change. Have a great holiday, Kenny. Thanks for the Tuesday entertainment.
I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎅🎄🎁❄☃
