    Your channel makes the Mission Editor look almost as a game within a game :) thanks for showing us all of this small techniques for us to use within our own missions. I know there are some people who long for a dynamic campaign engine, but a well crafted DCS mission can be so detailed as to be a real pleasure to play .. truly the ME is one of the brightest points of DCS

    for some reason I cannot select the "go to waypoint" option. It's not in the list. any ideas?

    Great video, but instead of manually duplicating the waypoint tasks, just make the first one, and then use the "clone" button, and then just change the waypoint number, much quicker!

    Is it necessary to set the 'go to' for every waypoint? And not just The final>first?

      Decided to just see myself. If you don't set 'go to' for every waypoint. The unit will just stop after he completes one circuit.

      Exactly^^ this is why I set it up as I did. For me this was the easiest way to get the required result. The AI has some I but not all the time LOL.

      No it's NOT. I just linked the DP to the SP and it will loop constantly... (talking from experience)

    The loop logic as shown in this video does not work at all. Saving the mission screws up the waypoint you have set in the action. I set WP 1 to go to WP2, WP2 to go to WP3, WP3 to go to WP4, but when I save the actions, all waypoint "go to" tasks get set to WP4. Buggered.

      It tested this again on the Caucasus map this morning and it works perfectly, no problems at all. I know ED are continually working on the AI routes programming but thus far it has had little impact on this scenario.

      @@suntsagancientgamer8241 Sadly I can also confirm that this doesn't work. I'm using the current 2.5.6 Stable version of the game because it seems to be much better at handling ai traffic than OpenBeta. Working with the Caucasus map, using default speeds and setting WP's exactly as you've kindly shown, the vehicle will perform the 1st route with little to no problems and 'even' correctly find its way 'thropugh it's initial WP0 starting point' to WP1 for it's second lap but it will literally go 'round the houses' from then on.
      I've tried playing with the 'GS' and 'Fixed Time' check boxes as well as messing around with speed and even changing location of the route and using different runways but all to no avail :(

      @@bazstevens3874 The process to make this work has since been updated in DCS. What I will do is make a fresh video outlining the revised procedure. A lot of changes are being made to the way AI behaves so this maybe having an impact on your build of this process.

    But a "way point" is the direction it takes. And having more than 1 means that it automatically goes to the next way point until there is no more way point to go to and it will stop. So the last thing you done was the only thing you really needed to do in order to get them to "Loop". And they will repeat it. It's how to get them to fire and keep moving I can't do yet. Trying now to create a "Training troop movement" mission. Having little luck. :-\

      If you complete a few searches online you should be able to find something to download. I use Audacity software to create all my sound files for the game by cutting and pasting sound effects and voice overs.
